6 Summer Shoes We Love!

For comfort, practically, durability and of course, style, ORI & OCCI are my new go-to shoes. Espadrilles are classic European shoes have been used since the 14th century, but ORI & OCCI’s French and Spanish founders have given them a distinctly modern update. Still using a breathable but ecological jute rope sole, their selection of espadrilles use only the highest quality materials for the upper part of the shoe, including suede, organic leather and natural linen. Handcrafted in Spain by local artisans, these espadrilles are the real deal offering the perfect blend of authenticity with fresh, fun, up-to-date fashion. I’m a big fans of these timeless, casual shoes and the use of contemporary fabrics – these Metallic Coral ones with a silver leather toecap will go with any summer outfit!

Love from Cyprus

If you’re on the hunt for some sweet new sandals then look no further than Love From Cyprus. The distinctly Mediterranean brand offers a selection of beautiful sandals, all made-to-order on the island of Cyprus. These sandals are oh-so chic – the perfect pair to throw on when walking around the streets of HK on a hot summer’s day. The classic Greek ‘Acropolis’ leather sandals have a unique design inspired by the columns of the Parthenon, adding a special touch to every day sandals. Tie the leather lace around your ankles for a sophisticated look that will look great with a flowing maxi dress.

I have to admit I’ve been slightly obsessed with Soludos ever since I spotted them on a stylish Hong Konger in the streets (not a stalker… I promise!). These espadrille style shoes have that timeless European design, but with a selection of super cute designs embroidered on the front. Think different coloured canvas emblazoned with everything from summery coconuts and watermelons, to flamingos and even pizza. These blue canvas ones with sunflowers on the front are sure to put a smile on your face whenever you look down at your toes!

Jade Nais Sandals

Callixto is one of those truly special stores that’s like an Aladdin’s Cave, full of unique treasures from all over the world. I love the location of the store, the fact it’s painted pink, and the beautifully curated selection of jewellery, homeware, and now, shoes! The new sandals available at Callixto are made in Bali using fake leather and cotton, and I love this pair of ‘Jade Nais Sandals‘. The fresh pop of colour will look great with a white summer dress or denim shorts and a tee, and the Aztec print on the heel gives them a quirky, playful feel.
