Fivelements

This welcoming place may be the closest thing to an oasis Hong Kong has ever known. Priding itself on wellness, healing and inspiration, Fivelements is a breath of fresh air away from the busy city. As a holistic sports and wellness destination, Fivelements combines Balinese culture and mindfulness in a stunning and stress-banishing way. Some of our favourite natural treatments include the Blooming Beauty and Secrets of Balinese Wellness. Check out the full selection of spa and wellness treatments available, including everything from a Matcha Green Tea Facial to a Treasures from Earth treatment. For a facial to detoxify and energise, try the Fivelements Super Food Facial. With Balinese spices, natural anti-oxidising neem, fresh pineapple, cooling aloe vera, and a spirulina-seaweed mask to seal the deal, this facial is a jolt of natural goodness.

Top tip: Keep an eye out for the Fivelements Dinner Club on the 1st Friday of every month. This 5-course gourmet meal offers a plant-based gastronomical journey well worth checking out. Pair it with yoga classes and a staycation, and your ideal weekend is set.

Four Seasons

Stepping into The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong is a relaxing ritual in itself. With 5-star service and amenities, we were thrilled to hear about the natural offerings and products. Subtle Energies is the newest product addition to the spa, and it works by blending the benefits of aromatherapy and ancient Ayurveda wisdoms. These distinct formulas are made to address particular concerns or energetic types, known as doshas. Four Seasons also works with the leading biodynamic skincare line, Julisis, to bring Hong Kong a holistic facial called the Julisis Biorhythm Facial – a permeating pick-me-up for every layer of skin. The experienced therapists begin with a guided meditation, before customising a facial catering to your unique biorhythm. Julisis has actually patented Liquid Gold and Liquid Silver products, containing the only cell-accessible forms of gold and silver. Indulgent? Just the right amount. These products naturally accelerate your skin’s repair and healing process to give you a natural glow. Four Seasons has always been a results-oriented spa, so leaving you feeling refreshed is the number one priority.

Top tip: Check out the Full Moon Meditation at the Spa. Senior Spa Director Shoshana Weinberg effortlessly leads the inviting session, and you leave feeling ready for the new month. We had a chance to check this out for ourselves and can completely vouch for it (and the post-meditation vegan feast!).

Iyara Natural & Organic Spa

Iyara specialises in a whole array of services and, with locations throughout Hong Kong Island, your next facial, manicure, pedicure, body scrub or massage could be minutes away. Whether you’re after a rigorous sports massage or a knot-attacking deep tissue therapy, you can opt for natural and organic oils. Looking for a face and body combo? The Essence of Iyara (Sundari Body Massage and Facial) is a two-hour rhythmic massage, using SUNDÃRI Facial-Organic active ingredients which are custom-blended, based on a personal dosha assessment. Think: exfoliation, pressure point stimulation, nutrient infusion and a shot of moisturiser to lock it all in. Healthy, radiant, relaxed skin is the end result.

Top tip: Book in after 5pm, and you can opt for the lemongrass tea to be substituted by a rejuvenating glass of red or white wine!

Mandarin Oriental

The Mandarin Oriental Spa is another staple in Hong Kong, and the new therapies drawing on the philosophies of traditional Chinese medicine are particularly unique to this landmark hotel. With offerings like the Digital Wellness Escape and Oriental Qi, the hotel works to give you a break from your fast-paced life. To get you started, try the Five Element facial. Based on fire, wood, earth, metal and water, the treatment strives to restore your skin’s balance. Natural Elemental Herbology products and skilled massage techniques combine to bring you a holistic experience. The experts here will blend and base your facial according to your specific element, restoring elasticity and youth in a personalised way. And if you’re after a natural haircare treatment, look no further. The Mandarin Salon now offers a Discovery by Yerba hair treatment, a natural alternative hair treatment that combats frizzy hair, reduces humidity-induced volume and adds a silky-soft shine. This special treatment uses the latest technology and the stem cells of a Swiss apple to smooth and treat hair.
