A Whimsical, Nordic Afternoon Tea at FINDS
Following a successful partnership this spring, The Luxe Manor’s nordic-inspired restaurant, FINDS, teamed up again with GreenGate, a cute Danish design company. This fall, their Nordic Afternoon Tea will transport you from bustling TST to serene Scandinavia, at least for a few hours.
Beyond an excellent selection of organic teas (which come in the cutest little packaging!), the Nordic Afternoon Tea offers 11 savoury and sweet Nordic delicacies with carefully chosen seasonal ingredients prepared in true Scandinavian fashion.
Highlights include the savoury king crab salad on a buckwheat blini and smoked duck breast paired with pickled salmon.
And, of course, any tea is not complete without an assortment of danishes and scones! The green apple danishes and raisin scones came with rich clotted sweet cream and a mouth-watering, homemade strawberry jam worth returning for.
And – all the dishes are served on a flat plate, which is a welcome departure from the tall towers typical of afternoon teas. You can actually hold a conversation without craning your neck to see across the table!
Beyond organic teas and flavoured coffees, FINDS also offers monthly special drinks – a rich Pumpkin latte for October, a Hot Apple Ginger Toddy (yum!) for November, and Hot Rum Cow or Eggnog & Glogg Wine for December.
This tea is perfect for a mid-week break with some girlfriends to keep off those late fall and winter blues. FINDS Nordic-themed decor is funky while still unassuming, and their new autumn menu definitely shakes things up compared to more traditional afternoon teas.
Have a special celebration coming up? FINDS have three private, fantasy dining rooms on the third floor. Our favourite was the surreal ‘Nordic Summer’ room with a fresh green carpet and flower-lined walls that will make you feel like you’re smack in the middle of a blossoming garden. Enjoy the same Nordic Afternoon Tea privately in your own secret garden and throw in a glass of champagne for only $350 per person for four to ten of your girlfriends!
