Summer style at Pacific Place – the best of DVF, Chloe & Versace

27 June, 2012

If you strolled through the main level of Pacific Place a few months back, you may have noticed a huge ode to Diane Von Furstenberg, Chloe or Versace. This was, in fact, an installation honouring the distinct fashion style of these three houses and showcased all that is on offer for summer from these brands… and now summer is well and truly here, let’s take a peek at the biggest hits from all the collections!

Diane Von Furstenberg

DVF may be the most wearable brand for Hong Kong ladies. The figure-flattering wrap dresses and loose cuts move with you while you are out living your busy life. The floral prints are gorgeous for summer and brighten up a day in the office or out on the town.

There were ladylike heels which look like they could actually be worn throughout the day without fear of falling down HK’s unseen steps! But best of all is the structured handbag (shown here in black) with the hidden back panel for your iPad – keeping you both in the loop and in style!

Chloe

Chloe showed off their easy breezy garments perfect for beating the heat. The feminine pleated fabrics were light as air leaving me wanting my own version for the soaring temperatures! The nude palette is wonderfully wearable and can take you into autumn with ease! My two favourites were the nude shimmer dress and the Kelly green wide-leg pleated trousers; I love how chic and conservative both pieces are, allowing you to be seen with out showing too much.

Heels were done in a range of leathers and skins and looked really comfy (could it be true?!). The bags spanned from equestrian chic to glimmering goddess keeping you looking put together and on trend from head to toe.

Versace

Perhaps the most extreme of the brands shown was Versace. Known for studs and thigh high slits, the Versace woman is sure to stand out! This collection didn’t disappoint, offering studded creations in a range of pastel shades with summer-appropriate ocean themed prints. Leather was the star of the show with almost every item showcasing the skin! In an effort to keep you cool, the leather studded dresses were on the shorter side and featured a silk chiffon pleated panel on the side.

The handbags were quilted with a floral swirl motif and swinging shiny gold tassels.  But what really took my breath away were the sky-high Lucite heels! I feared for the models that would wear these on the runway later that evening… a wearer of Versace needs to be confident not only in her own style, but also her ability to walk on stilts!

If you would like to see these collections up close and personal, then head over to Pacific Place where you can revel in all their designer glory in-store!
