The market will feature urban farmers and young entrepreneurs who will showcase, promote and sell their products. If you’re looking for organically grown vegetables, handmade products and Made in HK social enterprises (including healthy nibbles from Anything But Salads – yum), the farmer’s market is definitely for you!

We might not be in Germany, but we can still join in on the Oktoberfest fun! Come check out the Night Market at PMQ this month, where you can enjoy 5 glasses of local and import craft beers, ales and larger while you dance away to some German tunes. You’ll be given a ‘beer passport’ and once you’ve filled it up with stamps: you’ll get a free beer mug! If you’re feeling a little competitive, you’ve got to try the beer-drinking contest (and it’s free to enter! Sign up here!). Bottoms up!

One of our favourite food-loving companies, Secret Ingredient, is hosting a special block party to celebrate their 3rd birthday! We love their delicious home-cooked meals (check out our reviews here and here) and that’s why we’re also excited for the launch of their beginner sets. If you’re not so great in the kitchen, their new 15-minute meals are low effort but still delicious and are 25% cheaper than regular meals at only $195! Secret Ingredient really makes cooking easy and fun, and it’s convenient too as they also offer same-day delivery to Hong Kong Island and Kowloon side. Come celebrate their 3-year anniversary and enjoy all you can eat and drink (you know it’s going to be good!).

When: 23 October, 6.30pm
Where: 32A Tai Ping Shan Street (at Street Level), Sheung Wan, Hong Kong
How much: $250 (all you can eat and drink), tickets available here.

SIP2Gypsies, tramps and thieves…
Imagine a weekend away from the urban concrete jungle – just you, your friends, amazing music and arty outlets amongst the greenery of Hong Kong. Enter the hidden and magical world of Secret Island Party! Escape the busy streets of Hong Kong at this two-day festival that features music, art and performances (and let’s not forget great food and plenty of drinks…). Go all out and make sure you dress up in this year’s theme ‘Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves’ – we can’t wait to see the costumes! This unique weekend is selling out fast, so if you miss the festival vibes that we seriously lack in HK, this is definitely worth checking out.

When: 18 & 19 October
Where: A secret location in Hong Kong, (ferries departing to and from Central, more info here).
How much: $750 for a full weekend (camping overnight on the beach), $550 Saturday only, $370 Sunday only – tickets available here.
