Brunch is something of a Hong Kong institution, but if you’ve tried all of the offerings in our fair city, or are feeling like a different kind of weekend, why not hop over to Macau and try out one of its fab offerings? With dozens of hotels to choose from, there are plenty of brunch menus to check out, so here are just five that have caught our eye…
If you’re up for a boozy afternoon, the G.H. Mumm Champagne Brunch at Belon is for you. Priced at $798 per person, the menu includes free-flow champagne, red and white wines, soft drinks and teas and coffee, along with a range of sumptuous starters, mains and desserts to choose from. With the likes of fresh seafood, antipasti, Chinese barbecue and dumplings, pastas, grilled meats and more to choose from, the menu is sure to be a winner with every crowd. Just make sure to not fill up before desserts, as we hear that there is everything from macarons and brownies, to tiramisu, soufflés, mousses, tarts and more to feast on!

Another lavish Macau brunch offering can be found at The Manor, in The St. Regis Hotel. The full buffet features prime meat, fresh seafood and gourmet delicacies, including the likes of Boston lobster and freshly-shucked oysters, Robata-grilled halibut and Hokkaido scallops, as well as a sweet selection of enticing desserts. The menu is priced at $498 per person for the food buffet, juices and soft drinks, but an additional $98 can be paid for free-flow white wine and red wine, Heineken beers and one glass of sparkling wine

Bene is a casual and relaxed Italian restaurant housed in The Sheraton Grand Macau that offers up a buffet brunch for $498 per person. The authentic dishes on offer include charcoal grilled meats, a selection of pizzas, pastas and risotto, salads, seafood, cold-cuts and even a carpaccio bar! The dessert options here have also stolen our hearts and transported us straight to Italy, with gelato, panna cotta, tiramisu, biscotti and more available. Complete your brunch with free-flow prosecco and red and white wine for an additional 120 per person, and then roll home on the ferry, or extend the fun by booking in a staycation at the hotel!

Looking for delicious Italian food, free-flow drinks and table-side entertainment? Look no further than the brand new Saturday brunch experience at Portofino, in the Venetian Macau! Featuring live cooking stations serving up a medley of seafood, cold cuts, grilled meats, pizza, pasta and desserts, you’re sure to come away more than satisfied. Highlights of the brunch include live oyster shucking and King crab legs, along with rotisserie chicken, bone-in ribeye and artisan Italian cheeses. To go with the lavish food, guests can also enjoy The Venetian Macao’s famous entertainment, including singing waiters and chefs, and for those who don’t want the day to end just yet, you can pay an extra HKD/MOP 100 and enjoy access to The Venetian Macao’s swimming pools all day long!

If you’re not too sure which cuisine you fancy (and have a big appetite!), Fontana Buffet at Wynn Palace is the restaurant to check out. With everything on offer from Chinese favorites, such as rice, noodles, roast pork belly, roast duck and dim sum, to carving stations, seafood, salads and more, it’s perfect for big groups looking to feast. And the best bit? The buffet is not only reserved for brunch, so if you don’t fancy the early start, you can enjoy the all-you-can-eat global delicacies for dinner, too! Fontana Buffet also offer an afternoon tea set (daily, between 3pm and 5:30pm), which is priced at $608 per person and includes a bottle of Champagne – just the thing for special occasions.
