Bridgerton is back! The eagerly anticipated second season hits Netflix later this month, and we can’t wait to see what drama and heartache lies in store for the residents of “The Ton”.
Executive produced by Shonda Rhimes, part of the period drama’s success is down to its frothy, luxurious costuming, which designer Ellen Mirojnick told Vogue was “aspirational, as opposed to historically accurate.” It’s since sparked a budding “Regencycore” fashion movement. Drawing on broad inspirations like regency-era outfits and 50’s Christian Dior, the trend embraces empire waists, tulle, dainty florals and swoon-worthy necklines with aplomb. And we’re all for it.
