Kung Hei Fat Choi! Welcome in the Year of the Monkey and celebrate the start of a long weekend by joining in on some of these fab events. There’s plenty to do over the CNY holidays, with tons of parties, shows and festivities to keep you entertained. Let loose at Rewind’s anniversary party, tuck into unlimited beer and meatballs at Posto or tickle your funny bone and catch the Edinburgh Festival All Stars at Udderbelly. Biggie Smalls & Meatballs

Celebrate the start of the CNY holidays with good food and good vibes at Posto Pubblico! They’ll be serving up delicious veal meatballs along with unlimited pints of Peroni… all for just $98. If you’re a fan of East Coast hip-hop you’ll also get to enjoy tunes from rapper Biggie Smalls, spun by a live DJ. This is the perfect chilled night to kick off the New Year – Biggie Smalls & Meatballs, what more could you want?!

When: Saturday, 6 February, 11pm – 1am
Where: Posto Pubblico, G/F, 28 Elgin Street, Soho, Central, Hong Kong
How much: $98 for all-you-can-drink Peroni and veal meatballs.

Rewind’s Anniversary Party

We’re huge fans of the awesome parties from Rewind, so we can’t wait to celebrate their one-year anniversary tonight! Head to The Annex, a cool new event space in Central, for a night of incredible house and techno music from one of the most sought after DJs, &ME. The space will be decorated by the creative team at Harmonia, so you can guarantee a magical setting that’s sure to get you in the mood to party!

When: Friday, 5 February, 11pm – 5am

Cliché Presents: FKJ Live! 

Cliché are bringing a taste of the Philippines’ Malasimbo Festival to Honkers, with a special live performance from FKJ (AKA French Kiwi Juice) to kick start those Chinese New Year celebrations! As one of the first international music and arts festivals of its kind in Asia, FKJ is set to bring those good vibes to Mahalo Tiki Lounge with his incredibly groovy loops, funky basslines and new French house music. Get those dancing shoes on!

When: Sunday, 7 February, 8pm onwards
Where: 29/F, Queens Road East Plaza, 202 Queens Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
How much: $200 on the door, including one drink.

Edinburgh Festival Allstars

If you’ve yet to check out Hong Kong’s Udderbelly Festival, make it your mission to seek out the best of the best with an all-star performance straight from the ‘burgh. With an awesome atmosphere and centre stage on the harbour front, the show has hand plucked the most exciting variety acts straight from one of the world’s biggest arts festivals. There will be everything from magic and music, to knuckle-biting circus acts and side-splitting comedy – grab a pint, you’re in a for an entertaining evening! 

When: Friday, 5 February – Sunday, 14 February
Where: Central Harbourfront Event Space, 9 Lung Wo Road, Central, Hong Kong

If you haven’t managed to bag yourself a last-minute flight out of Honkers, don’t stress as there’s loads to do in Hong Kong over the holidays.
