How Can Horses Perform Without Reins? It’s All In The Details

54 of the most magnificent horses from across Europe and the Middle East – like Portuguese Lusitanos, Friesians, Arabian and Pura Rasa Española – as well as adorable Mini Shetland ponies will all be a part of ‘CAVALLUNA – Gate To The Otherworld’, powered by Cathay Cargo as the official Equine Transport Partner. Not only will you watch liberty performances from these gorgeous animals (meaning they dance freely without reins or tack, but by responding to body language and subtle cues) but you’ll also see them as an integral part of the storyline as it unfolds. In the magical adventure of Meerin the sorceress working against dark forces, horses are not background actors or entertaining props, they are (ahem) mane characters – and they look amazing in it!

Meet The Riders Behind The Magic

Now we know the horses are vital – what about their renowned riders? CAVALLUNA has an incredible cast, featuring Bartolo Messina, Kenzie Dysli and rising star Rudj Bellini. These elite European equestrian performers will have you on the edge of your seat as you watch them pull off stunts like the Hungarian Post (where a single rider stands on two horses while guiding several more). And all of this is done in elaborate costumes, under magical lighting and set to an original score.
