Il Presidente – New Italian hotspot in Duddell Street, Central

The team behind Wan Chai’s fan favourite Trattoria Felino has just opened Il Presidente, a 70-seater restaurant and cocktail bar bang in the middle of Central. Executive Chef Marcello Scognamiglio brings what he calls a “new classic approach”, through which he aims to elevate comfort food by using exceptional ingredients. Also, don’t skip the bar. Helmed by Simone Ciambrone (of The Ritz London and Bulgari Ginza Bar fame), the cocktail menu channels Italy’s ’80s and ’90s pop culture heyday.

Café Landmark — Popular Central cafe reopens with Tuscan-inspired refresh

Two decades after first winning over Central’s diners, Café Landmark returns with a glow-up inspired by rustic Tuscan vibes. The revamped menu keeps its cherished hits — hello, Boston Lobster Spaghetti! — but introduces a whole range of newcomers, from Dover Sole Meunière to a Dessert Trolley (available daily from 2:30pm) from which you can choose two desserts and one ice-cream alongside coffee or tea.

GYU+ Bar by Miyoshi – Specialist Wagyu restaurant opens in Lee Garden One

Self-taught chef Tsutomu Ito never trained formally, yet built a Michelin-starred career in Kyoto by obsessing over one ingredient: Wagyu.
