Leggings from RUMI X

You really can’t go wrong with a pair of leggings, especially these gorgeous, buttery soft ones from RUMI X. They sit high up on the waistline (to help hold in any holiday weight gain) and also feature ballet-inspired lace details that tie at the ankle. Did we mention they’re made of post-consumer polyester (sourced from recycled water bottles)? This is a gift that will help take eco-chic to the next level.

The Apsley Backpack is a vegan, faux-leather answer to an everyday tote bag. The bucket shape is very on-trend and the adjustable drawstring means you’ll be able to fit in your workout gear and a water bottle without it being a tight squeeze. This is a great choice for an active friend.

These Aanya pants really are as comfy as they look. So if you’re planning a tropical getaway this Christmas, they’ll make the perfect addition to your suitcase. You can dress them up with a flowy crop top, or down as a beach cover-up. Soy Wax Candles from The Lion Rock Press

No cosy winter evening in is complete without candles, so we had to include these handmade soy ones from The Lion Rock Press. They are limited edition, hand-poured here in Hong Kong and feature a gorgeous rose gold foiled design of our city’s skyline. Add to that the fact that soy wax is biodegradable and cleaner burning than its counterparts! We really do think these candles are perfect for gifting.

Island Workbench

This little store is quite tucked away, but is well worth the trip to Cheng Chau. It has a gorgeous selection of locally-made products, such as jewellery, bags, cards and accessories. We particularly like the string bags that are made from recycled fishing nets! If you find all that shopping thirsty work, Island Workbench also has a small café just up the road which serves a selection of coffees, teas, pastries and omelettes.
