Art+Feminism: Wikipedia Edit-a-thon on Women in Art in Asia

In collaboration with the Art+Feminism campaign, Asia Art Archive is hosting its third edit-a-thon this month. With help from the Wikimedia User Group, head to Sheung Wan for an afternoon where you can create, share, and improve Wikipedia articles about women who create art in Asia.

A 2011 study found that just around ten per cent of Wikipedia editors are women. Meanwhile, they are consistently underrepresented in the art world, including in Hong Kong. This edit-a-thon is part of an ongoing effort to contribute to discussions about the representation of art and visual culture in Asia on open-source knowledge platforms.

When: Saturday, 9 March, 2pm to 6pm
Where: A Space, Asia Art Archive, 10/F, Hollywood Centre, 233 Hollywood Road, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong
