Shopping for Christmas presents? Get in the festive spirit with Hong Kong’s best holiday fairs and Christmas markets.

If you’re a slow planner and a late shopper, don’t fret. To get you prepared for the holiday spirit, we’ve put together a list of upcoming fairs, festivals and bazaars in the 852. Whether you’re seeking Christmas comfort food, looking to spread some cheer or hunting for a quirky gift, this guide has the best deals around town to help you get your shopping done in a fix (and perhaps snag a little bargain for yourself too!).

The Gift and Lifestyle Fair
The first in a series of festive fairs by Prestige Events at Conrad Hong Kong, The Gift and Lifestyle Fair bursts with inspiration for all your holiday gifting. Merchandise stalls from more than 150 vendors will be showing a wide range of homewares, gifts, jewellery, fashion items, accessories, food and more. These vendors include some of our favourites, like jewellery company Kookii B (we recommend checking out the beautiful gemstone necklaces), rug expert Maya Rugs and zero waste pioneers N!OW Zero Waste. Shoppers who enjoy lunch or dinner at the Garden Cafe or lunch or afternoon tea at The Lobby Lounge can enjoy a 20% VIP Prestige Shopper Discount.

AWA Charity Bazaar
The AWA Charity Bazaar is back! On Thursday, 1 November, the PMQ will host a variety of Hong Kong-specific shops and businesses. There will be plenty of options perfect for anyone on your gift shopping list. In the spirit of the holiday season, proceeds will be contributed to education scholarships for local students and charitable grants for the needy throughout Hong Kong. There’s nothing better than shopping for a good cause!

When: Thursday, 1 November, 11am to 7:30pm

Discovery Bay Sunday Market
Hop on a ferry and head to the Discovery Bay Sunday Market, well known for its arts and crafts stalls, where you’re sure to find something for yourself or a special someone. When the post-shopping hunger hits, enjoy dinner at one of the designated restos at the D’Deck and you’ll be treated to a free ferry ride back to the Island.

The Feel Good Fair
Christmas shopping with a conscience? Yes, please! Featuring ethically sourced and sustainable products and homewares from local vendors, it’s the perfect place to pick up something for the environmentalists on your list and for anyone who likes to know what’s in the products they use. Here’s to crossing off your gift list and saving the planet at the same time.

When: Monday, 12 November, 6pm to 9pm, and Tuesday, 13 November, 9am to 12pm

Holiday Bazaar at The Fringe Club
Shopping Hong Kong is bringing back their annual Holiday Bazaar this year, but this time at the Fringe Club! Beat the seasonal shopping rush and get your gift buying out of the way as you browse top-quality vendors. For those of you who are members of the Hong Kong Football Club, a second holiday fair will be hosted there on Saturday, 1 December (although this one is only open to members, their guests and RSVPs).

When: Friday, 16 November and Saturday, 17 November, 11am to 8pm

Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar
Danish pastries, anyone? Check out the Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar which promises to be full of these traditional sweet delights! Shop from designer brands, while feeding on Swedish treats, pick up those all-important decorations and ornaments, and enjoy some live music. Your buying power will do more than a little good as all profits go to the Danish Seaman’s Church in Hong Kong.

When: Saturday, 17 November, 10am to 5pm

6. Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar

Pre-Christmas Gift Parade
The Prestige Events shopping fair returns to Conrad Hong Kong with the second of its four winter fairs this season. In addition to all the pop-ups, you can expect a curated selection of jewellery, fashion, accessories, homewares and even items for the children on your list. And if you want to take a shopping break, get a 20% discount when you eat lunch or afternoon tea at the Lobby Lounge or Garden Cafe. We’ll be on the lookout for presents from some of our favourite vendors, such as Ryder Diamonds, The Lion Rock Press, Zest of Asia and more!

Swire Properties Christmas Street Fair
Swire Properties’ annual community favourite is back again. This neighbourhood street fair will be filled with fun games, delicious comfort food and of course, tons of shopping! If you can’t make it to this one, no worries,  a second one will take place at Taikoo Place on Tong Chong Street from 29 November to 1 December. Check out the link for updates on the event.

The Repulse Bay Christmas Fair 2018
Want to do some Christmas shopping with a beautiful view of the ocean? Head to Repulse Bay on Sunday, 25 November to get in the festive spirit with a host of stalls selling everything from Christmas decorations, and home accessories, to children’s gifts, handicrafts, jewellery, and more.

Christmas Showcase from Prestige Events
Another spectacular showcase from Prestige Events, the Christmas Showcase is the perfect opportunity to get those stocking stuffers from your favourite brands, like Zeroyet100 and Pinyin Press. Christmas showcase fair

Italian Day at Sandy Bay
Celebrate Christmas the Italian way! Promising appetising authentic dishes sponsored by the best Italian joint around and a lively atmosphere, the Italian Women’s Association is back this year for a fun-filled day. The best part? All profit goes to charity (yes, that’s 100%!), so help someone in need while you cross off the items on your family’s wish lists.

St. Stephen’s Chapel Christmas Fete in Stanley
Bringing a traditional English fête (with a taste of Hong Kong) to Stanley, St. Stephen’s Chapel Christmas fair will feature loads of charity stalls, along with bouncy castles, games, plenty of food and drinks, HK police dixie bands, and Chinese lion dancers and acrobats. Not to mention Santa, who will be making a guest appearance via helicopter at 12:30pm.

When: Saturday, 1 December, 11am to 4:30pm
Where: St. Stephen’s College Sports Ground, Wong Ma Kok Road, Stanley, Hong Kong
How much: $20 for adults, free for children!

Hong Kong Market Association Stanley Christmas Market

Stanley Plaza Finnish Christmas Market
Whether or not you made it to the Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar in November, this traditional Finnish Christmas Market is one that should not be missed. This year’s market will be hosted over two consecutive weekends and will feature 100+ culinary delights, retail vendors, an iconic glass dining dome, a life-size Finnish traditional Yule Goat and the 7 meters tall “Home of the Elves”. Free shuttle buses are also available for the event and can be taken from Ocean Park MTR, Shau Kei Wan, and Aberdeen.

When: Saturday, 8 December, Sunday 9 December and Saturday, 15 December, Sunday 16 December, 12pm to 8pm

Christmas Gift Festival
In case you’re still on the lookout for your final Christmas presents, you’ll be sure to find all you need at the Christmas Gift Festival by Prestige Fairs. Look for the newest in ethical and ecological design from WOMB, tasty truffles from Schoggi Meier (you won’t be satisfied with just one) and a whole host of other homeware, clothing, jewellery and beauty items. You’ll definitely leave with at least one gift for under the tree! Sai Kung Christmas Market
Have you been wanting to take a picture with Santa? Now’s your chance. He’ll be popping by the Sai Kung Christmas Market at The Hive Sai Kung on Saturday, 15 December. After all, an event filled with amazing artisanal food, drinks, crafts, and all kinds of other goodies, is the perfect place to tell Santa how good you’ve been all year.
