Kafnu x Gwen's Boutique: Sustainable Sunday Market

Do you want to live a sustainable life, yet have no clue where to start? Well then we recommend popping along to Kafnu’s Sustainable Sunday Market this month. Held in collaboration with second-hand clothing label Gwen’s Boutique, the market will feature a range of stalls from eco-friendly brands such as Kamipaper, einnoc and Soaper Delights. There’ll also be an exciting programme of workshops and talks where you’ll be taught the basics of how to live a more environmentally-friendly life. We’re especially intrigued by the “Sustainable Chocolate Tasting Workshop”, along with the “Make Your Own Toothpaste” class!

Hong Kong Rum Week

In celebration of all things rum, Hong Kong Rum Week is an ode to our favourite tiki bar essential. From Monday, 2 September to Sunday, 8 September, multiple bars across Hong Kong will be serving up special rum-based cocktails. Remember to pick up a free rum passport and collect stamps as you try your way through the drinks specials. The week will also feature masterclasses and guest bartending shifts. Keep up to date on all the happenings here.

The Green Race Kowloon Social Run

Running shoes at the ready! Taking place every Monday of the month, The Green Race Kowloon Social Run challenges runners with a 10km jaunt up Kowloon Peak. For reference, yes that does mean an 800 metre elevation gain – but at least the view will be worth it. Don’t forget your headlamp!

Yoga For The People By Lululemon

Relieve any mid-week stresses with a free yoga class in the park. Hosted by Lululemon, the session will consist of a 45 minute stress-relief yoga class, followed by 15 minutes of sharing and meditation. Make sure to leave enough time to register before the class starts as latecomers may not be permitted to join. And of course, bring your own mat.

Partner up and dance the night away with Hong Kong Swings this month! Their Pop-Up Social at Sense 99 promises to be a relaxed evening of swing dancing set to classic big band tunes. Never swing danced before? No problem. Head over at 7:30pm to get a free beginners crash course in the Shim Sham.
