11 December, 2015

 What’s on this weekend…

Festivities are in full swing this month, and the Holiday Season = Pop-Up Season. With respect to Christmas creeping around the corner, there are two fantastic pop-up shopping opportunities this weekend to help you start crossing names off your list. After you shop ’til you drop, start thinking about your ‘New Year, New You’ self at the Garage Society Hobbies Fair, or maybe let loose at Mad Decent’s DJ Revolution.

A California Christmas!

Hong Kong’s feeling festive, and the brand new California Tower in Lan Kwai Fong is no exception! With plenty of awesome restaurants and bars in this swanky new building, it’s the perfect place to wine and dine this holiday season. Some of our favourite new restaurants have special Christmas offers to help you celebrate, including: Ce La Vi, Townhouse, Porterhouse by Laris, Ore-no Kappou, Ciao Chow and Jinjuu. We’re excited to try the new festive menu at Jinjuu for something a little different (prawn cake pops and dwengjang glazed short ribs sound pretty delicious to us!). And if you’re looking for a fabulous Christmas Eve feast, Porterhouse has a decadent 5-course menu with optional wine pairing that’s sure to sate your appetite. Think spiced pumpkin soup, smoked trout mousse, a prime rib roast or pan-seared black cod, and sticky plum pudding for a sweet ending! Or why not go all out with Porterhouse’s Christmas Day Brunch? Delicious steak and free-flow Champagne by Veuve Clicquot? Sign us up.

When: Throughout December
Where: California Tower – the new landmark of Lan Kwai Fong!
How Much: Special offers vary throughout the building. Find out more here!
