What’s on this weekend…
This weekend is starting to look like one of the best weekends ever with Clockenflap 2015 on the horizon. Beauty brand Lush opens its only spa in Asia right here in the 852, and Zuma is hosting a Japanese-inspired night out… let’s get right down to the Weekender, Sassy Girls!
Shop ’til You Drop at Accessorize
We’re nearly in full-on holiday shopping mode, and to make your life a little easier, one of our favourite places to pick up all sorts of snazzy accessories is offering some pre-Christmas shopping discounts. This great discount will be on all regular priced items at the Accessorize store in Hong Kong, on purchases over $1,000. There will also be sweet treats (hello Christmas cookies!) available at Hysan Place, Festival Walk and New Town Plaza… time to get that Christmas shopping list done and dusted!

Okay, but CLOCKENFLAP!
Hong Kong’s biggest music and arts festival is taking over West Kowloon all weekend for its eighth year in a row! We’ve been flooding Sassy Hong Kong all week with lots of great content to get you excited and ready for the festival; sorry, but we just can’t help it! Take a look at our picks of One’s to Watch. Yes, we all know (and love) The Libertines, but this will help you navigate the four stages throughout the weekend and give you fest-cred among your music snob friends. Also check out Sassy’s exclusive interview with Rachel Yamagata for some personal insights to this year’s lineup. And, check out our post on last minute festival fashion hacks.
Like us, you’ve probably had your tickets since early bird sales started back in September, but if you’re still trying to scheme a ticket, there are still some available on the Clockenflap website. We can’t wait to see you there!
When: Friday, 27 November – Sunday, 29 November
Where: West Kowloon Cultural District, Kowloon, Hong Kong
How much: Last minute tickets are going for $880 (Friday), $980 (Saturday, Sunday individual tickets) and $1,780 (3-Day Pass). Under 18’s and students get an even better deal!
Late night spinning at Vinyltopia
After dancing your butt off at Ratatat and The Libertines Saturday night, keep the party going at Vinyltopia at Acadana. There will be FREE shuttle busses (limited seats, first come first serve) from Clockenflap at midnight to whisk you away to an 8-hour vinyl-only journey into disco, house, afro, funk and some other rare beats. There will be limited drinks available, so BYOB is encouraged. Pregame at Club 7/11, anyone?
When: Saturday, 28 November, 10pm until late, late, late!
Where: Room 33, 17/F, Block B, Wah Lok Industrial Centre, 41 Shan Mei Street, Fo Tan, Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong

Enjoy a Lush-ious Weekend
Our favourite wacky cosmetic store Lush is opening up its biggest location in Asia, right here in Hong Kong! On Friday, they’re celebrating the grand opening of the magical Lush Spa. For some pre-festival pampering, head over to Soho Square Friday afternoon for a firsthand look at the brand’s new line of fresh handmade products and exclusive makeup. You’ll also get a tour of the brand spanking new facilities, see a live treatment demo and enjoy spa music performed by Lush musicians from the UK to ease you into the weekend! After three days of non-stop dancing, your body is going to be begging for some R’n’R. Book a special treatment online or by phone by calling 3915 0638.
When: Friday, 27 November, 12 noon
Where: Lush Soho Square, 21 Lyndhurst Terrace, Central, Hong Kong
How much: Free entry!
Roses Really Smell Like…
We heart Zuma, especially their Saturday brunches! They’ve also got awesome evening events on, including one this weekend, Rose of Tokyo. Go on a journey to Japan and enjoy the great music, delish food and drink (hello – sushi!) and more this Saturday. It’s the sophisticated alternative to Clockenflap. Dance the night away to the DJ’s tunes, who will be accompanied by a live saxophonist and drummer. Feel free to rock up in a kimono; how’s that for a comfy night out?!
When: Saturday, 28 November, 7.30pm onwards
Where: Zuma, Level 5 & 6, The Landmark, 15 Queen’s Road Cental, Hong Kong
How much: Free! Reserve your spot here. If you’re hungry, there’s a special Zuma experience menu with a bottle of Rosé for $850 per person; there are beverage packages from 7.30-9.30pm, too.
