A Sweet & Sassy Christmas Party at The White Loft!

A photo booth, festive nibbles, wine (of course) and our own cinema!

Feeling festive yet? No? Well feast your eyes on the ridiculously cute Christmas décor at our Sweet & Sassy Christmas Party below! To celebrate the end of the year (and before every jets off on holiday) we headed over to The White Loft, a fabulous venue space in the up and coming Wong Chuk Hang area, for a festive celebration with our Sassy team. The awesome ladies at Sweet Soirees, one of our favourite party planning companies, put on an incredible display and we were treated delicious nibbles, wonderful decorations, a fun photo booth and even our own campfire-styled cinema. Check it all out below and you might even get some ideas for hosting your on Christmas cinema night (or let The White Loft do it for you – they are the experts!).

The crew at Sweet Soirees have seriously got an eye for all décor! These gorgeous white paper decorations added a subtle yet sophisticated touch to the space. If you want to keep your Christmas party stress free this year, follow their advice and pick a colour scheme to stick to (like red and white – easy!).

It isn’t Christmas without a tree! The White Loft filled their Christmas trees with baubles and ornaments and put out some pinecones and cinnamon sticks to fill the room with a festive sent… we loved the little details that were scattered throughout the venue, which didn’t escape our beady Sassy eyes!

We also loved the use of fragrant eucalyptus leaves and red berries for the floral arrangements – super simple but oh-so striking, especially when added to the food table!

Speaking of food… the girls at Sweet Soirees sure know how to put on a spread. We tucked into delicious little nibbles that included smoked salmon belinis, a sumptuous cheese board, sausage rolls and we can’t forget the sweets. The mini S’mores donut balls from Munchies were to-die-for and so decadent, perfect for Christmas (but if you’re feeling extra naughty get them in full size!).

And what are nibbles and cheese without wine? The folks at Winerack had us covered with a selection of fine wines. We particularly enjoyed the prosecco (who doesn’t love a bit of bubbly?) and couldn’t believe how reasonably priced such good quality wines were – you can get a bottle for under $70! Apart from gorgeous décor and delicious food and drink, Sweet Soirees also had a festively fun ‘photo booth’ for us to take some snaps at.

We grabbed the reindeer ears, santa hats and the specially made Christmas quotation cards and got a bit snap-happy!

Some people might have gone a bit over board with photo-booth posing…

The highlight of our Sassy Christmas Party (apart from the fabulous company, of course) was definitely the specially created cinema area. This cosy section was decorated with candles, fairy lights and little camp-fire touches which surrounded the comfy seats.

We had a choice of great Christmas movies, but we decided to keep it Sassy with a rom-com classic, Bridget Jones. Who doesn’t love Mr. Darcy?!

Every movie night needs fun snacks. Popcorn is a movie tradition and now you’re no longer confined to just sweet and salty – there’s a wide array of chocolaty, caramel creations on offer, and Sweet Soirees served up some delicious Marks & Spencer’s White Chocolate & Coconut and Chocolate Orange & Hazelnut popcorn, which was addictive. Speaking of popcorn, have you tried Sote’s unique flavours like ‘The Cha Cha’? It’s Hong Kong style milk tea flavour (yum) and they also have salty delights like ‘The Colonel’, classic kernels with sea salt or ‘The Crave’, creamy caramel with a twirl of sea salt. We washed down our popcorn with some equally delicious hot chocolate with marshmallows… the perfect cinema accompaniment!
