The 2025 Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Rugby Sevens is set to take place from from Friday, 28 March to Sunday, 30 March, 2025, at Kai Tak Sports Park stadium — this sprawling, 28-hectare venue’s debut event! And they weren’t kidding when they said this massive precinct was designed with the Sevens in mind: included is a 7,800-square-foot open-air multipurpose space called the “Fan Village” (open until 11pm each day), with food and beverage stands, seating areas, over 30 concession stands, three garden lounges, a Carlsberg beer bar and even live band and DJ areas! How Can You Buy Tickets To The 2025 Hong Kong Sevens?
Tickets to the Hong Kong Sevens 2025 are now on sale and selling out quick! Tickets are priced at $1,950 for admission to all three days ($950 for a children’s pass), with first-come, first-serve admission to adult-only South Stand. Single-day tickets are not available. After payment is received, your digital mobile ticket will be sent to the HKCR Ticketing App.

Which Teams Are Playing At The 2025 Hong Kong Sevens?
A total of 30 teams will compete at over 70 tournaments during the 2025 event, with the Melrose Claymores competition returning for its second edition.
Men’s SVNS: New Zealand, Argentina, Australia, Fiji, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Kenya, Spain, South Africa, Uruguay, USA.
Women’s SVNS: New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Fiji, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Japan, Spain, USA.
Melrose Claymores: Hong Kong China Men VS China and Japan, Hong Kong China Women VS Kazakhstan and Thailand.
Entertainment Lineup For 2025 Hong Kong Sevens
On the entertainment front, we’ve heard we can expect to see performances by Hong Kong Cantopop sensation RubberBand (Friday, 6:40pm), Italian icon GALA (Saturday, 2:30pm), DJ Pete Tong (Saturday, 6:35pm) and the British indie-rock group Kaiser Chiefs (Sunday, 4:45pm).
How To Get To Kai Tak Stadium
- MTR to Sung Wong Toi Station (Tuen Ma Line): The 2025 Rugby Sevens are being held at Kai Tak Stadium (not the Kai Tak Arena!), so get off at Sung Wong Toi Station, Exit D and you’ll arrive in 10 minutes. This is definitely our recommended route!
- Bus: If you prefer traveling by bus, Kai Tak Sports Park is conveniently located near three major bus stops: Kowloon City Bus Interchange (also known as Regal Oriental Hotel Bus Stop and Sung Wong Toi Park Bus Stop), Argyle Street Playground Bus Stop and Kowloon City Ferry Bus Terminus.
- Ferry: North Point peeps can take advantage of the nearby Kowloon City Ferry Pier, which operates the North Point-Kowloon City ferry route. It’s a 12-minute walk via To Kwa Wan Road and Shing Kai Road.
