La Terrace by Louise — Elite Signature (Price set by restaurant; $588 for dinner per person)

Louise’s casual ground-floor dining concept, La Terrace by Louise, offers a laidback culinary experience inspired by French chef Julien Royer’s upbringing in the French countryside. Serving French classics with handcrafted drinks in a relaxed atmosphere, its refreshing warmth makes it stand apart in Hong Kong’s saturated dining scene. 

Menu highlights: Start with the Sago and Mimolette Arancini and then savour the freshness of Yellowfin Tuna. For mains, we would suggest opting for Louise’s famous Roasted Yellow Chicken (half portion). Yum!

Le Colvert — Elite category ($248 for lunch; $498 for dinner per person)

This cosy Sai Ying Pun eatery lives up to its name, putting duck centre stage across a menu of hearty French staples. True to Chef Guillaume’s sustainable food philosophy, every part of the bird is honoured, resulting in inventive dishes served in a convivial setting. It’s comfort food done right! 

Menu highlights: The Fennel Carpaccio with orange, strawberry and other seasonal fruits is just perfect for a summer day. Among the mains, you can’t go wrong with the Confit Duck Leg or the Rouen-style Pressed Challans Duck.

Bistrot’s Suzette — Category A ($198 for lunch; $398 for dinner per person)

Neighbourhood French bistro Bistrot’s Suzette brings the Parisian lifestyle to Kai Tak. Chef Tiff Lo has created a menu of comforting dishes built on provenance and patience. Expect a warm ambience, impeccable service and both indoor and outdoor seating. It’s perfect for catching up with friends.

Menu highlights: Start with the Salad Lyonnaise, a bistro classic done right, with crisp greens and smoky bacon. For the mains, the Pan-roasted Fish is a must, whether it’s sea bream for lunch, or salmon for dinner.

The Spoon — Category B ($148 for lunch; $298 for dinner per person)

When The Spoon opened earlier this year, it quickly went viral for its positioning as an Italian-meets-Malaysian pasta bar. But beyond the instant buzz, the eatery has managed to keep its loyalists coming back. This is mainly thanks to chef Dylan’s innovative approach, which merges his Malaysian heritage with Italian pasta in a series of dynamic fusion recipes.

Menu highlights: Start light with the Roasted Zucchini in Prawn Seed & Parmesan Cheese for lunch or Pesto Sorbet & Stracciatella for dinner. Satisfy your pasta cravings with the Asian Romeo Dried Aged Chicken Breast Canestri at lunch or Bah Kuh Teh Pork Rib Pappardelle at dinner.
