If you’re looking for a new spot away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and where your furry friends are very welcome, head to newly opened Mint & Basil in Tung Chung. The menu consists of MSG-free Thai and Vietnamese classics, curated by Thai Executive Chef Saksit and includes favourites such as Tom Yum Soup, Pad Thai, Char-grilled Minced Beef in Betel Leaf and Lamb Shank Curry – not forgetting the obligatory dessert of Mango Sticky Rice. Perfect for enjoying al fresco, the restaurant has a spacious outdoor dining area, complete with waving palm trees.

Flamingo Bloom

Whether you’re following a keto diet, are a vegan, or are just looking for a healthy lunch, head to Flamingo Bloom. Known for colourful handcrafted teas, its new lunch menu has caught our eye with its array of hearty, yet healthy dishes. The all new veggie “rice” bowls are made using cauli rice and are finished with a variety of toppings including chicken meatballs, pork bolognese, vegan mapo tofu and avo-cauli slaw. Pair your lunch with one of its seasonal teas, with the likes of OJ Pineapple x Jasmine Tips Green, Avocado x Jasmine Tips Green Latte and Avocado x Jasmine Tips Green Latte (all $39) on offer.

Waterfront Bar & Terrace

If you love seafood and are a sucker for a stunning view of our fair city, Waterfront Bar & Terrace at the Harbour Grand Kowloon has just what you need this month. The restaurant’s new seafood sharing menu showcases over 40 big and small sharing plates, all made using the freshest ingredients. Hot and cold appetisers include Ahi Tuna, Freshly Shucked Oysters and Jumbo Crab Cakes, while bigger plates include Jumbo Sea Scallops and even a Lobster Pizza.

Hunter & The Chase whats new in the 852

Hunter & The Chase

If you’re ever in need of a mid-week pick-me-up, be sure to make a beeline for Hunter & The Chase, and take advantage of its American Bistro Night. Taking place every Tuesday in April from 6pm, diners can “double up” (at no extra cost!) on signature classics such as The Chase Double Beef Burger ($208), Big City Red Hot Dog ($128) and Roast Beef French Dip Sandwich ($148). All doubled up specials will come served with double the fillings of the standard dish – with the Double Beef Burger featuring four patties, the hot dog two beef sausages, and the French dip sandwiches laden with slices of meat. If that’s not enough, all specials also come served with twice-cooked fries. Go all out to complete your meal with one of the restaurants special “thickshakes”, and choose from flavours such as Green Tea Coconut, Espresso Choc-O-Bomb and Strawberry Cheesecake (all $88).

Statement

Brits looking for a taste of home will want to book in now for Statement’s all-new Britannia Brunch. Available Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 11:30am to 3pm, the brunch is priced at $628 per person (including free-flow Veuve Clicquot Champagne!) and will feature classic roast British beef with Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings, that is hand-carved tableside from a stunning antique silver trolley. Other mains on offer include roasted corn-fed pork, beer-battered white cod and chips, and roast cauliflower with capers and raisins. The brunch begins with a seafood platter, which features Irish oysters, Norwegian smoked salmon, Cornish prawns, mussels and clams, and is topped off with puds that include sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce and clotted cream, chocolate orange, and a selection of British artisan cheeses, served with grape and apple chutney and hand-made Scottish oat biscuits.

Pica Pica whats new in the 852

Pica Pica

Recently opened in Sheung Wan, Spanish tapas bar, Pica Pica, has just launched an all-new Sunday Fiesta brunch. Available every Sunday from 11:30am to 3:30pm, diners can enjoy a Spanish inspired semi-buffet featuring an array of traditional omelettes, cold cuts, house-cured seafood, salads and pastries, as well as made to order signature dishes such as croquettes, bikinis & special weekly changing roasted meats (which are delivered straight to the table). The food alone is priced at $310 per person, but if you want to take your fiesta up a notch, be sure to opt for the two-hours of free-flow house-aged sangria, Cava, selected Spanish red and white wines, draught beer and cocktails for an additional $260.

Kömune

There’s nothing like a good breakfast to help you recover from a heavy night, and over the Sevens weekend, that’s exactly what Kömune is offering with its Hong Kong Sevens Recovery Brunch ($268). Indulge to your heart’s (or stomach’s) desire, with a mouthwatering spread of various kinds of breads, cold cuts and cheeses, along with sharing platters of potato fritters and fried calamari with garlic aioli, and your choice of main course. For an additional $100, diners can also enjoy unlimited access to the DIY Bloody Mary station for two hours.

Old Bailey whats new in the 852

Old Bailey

Featuring some of Old Bailey’s most popular dishes, such as Xiao Long Bao and Shanghainese noodles, this Tai Kwun restaurant is sure to draw in the crowds with its six-course lunch menu. Priced at $240 per person, and served Monday to Friday between 12pm and 3pm, the lunch also has a full vegan menu available! The plant-based offerings include the likes of Vegetarian Xiao Long Bao, Sautéed organic green beans and Village-style sautéed Hangzhou green chilli and aubergine. Diners can add on a glass of house red or white wine for just $78 to complete the meal.
