Known for serving an epic Sunday roast brunch on any given weekend, it’s no surprise that Statement is going above and beyond this Christmas. The Globe isn’t straying far from tradition this Christmas Day. Starters on offer include a winter game broth, salmon tartare and a mushroom and puy lentil pate; but it’s all about turkey for the main event here. As one of our favourite spots in the city for a roast dinner, Three Blind Mice is, of course, pulling out all the stops this Christmas. Available from the end of November right up until year end, for $650 you can get your hands on a delectable festive feast. Along with starters including pumpkin and caramelised onion soup and festive scotch eggs, the menu includes a traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings. If you’re looking for a carnivore-friendly feast this Christmas, look no further then MEATS. Available on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the festive tasting menu features chicken liver pate, beef tartare and Galican octopus to share, along with a choice of hearty mains. Those wanting traditional Christmas fare can tuck into the roasted turkey with gravy and cranberry sauce, but the restaurant is also serving Argentinian ribeye and porchetta, all with sides of truffle oil mashed potatoes and mixed green salad. Available throughout November and December, Executive Chef Corey Riches of BEDU is using fresh and seasonal ingredients and Middle-Eastern spices to bring a Bedouin festive feast this Christmas. The family-style Festive Chef’s Menu features a selection of the restaurant’s signature starters, including homemade Flatbread, and black garlic and almond labneh, these are followed up by plates of charred broccoli and fried eggplant, before the main dish of Spice Roasted Pork Belly. On Christmas Day itself, BEDU will be hosting a special Christmas with Corey menu. Sharing starters include smoky hummus, garlic labneh with za’atar, and a preserved peach and halloumi salad, while for the main course, diners can choose between saffron and thyme whole-roasted spatchcock, or “Zucchini Three Ways”. A choice of either Christmas-spiced dark chocolate pudding, or light and fresh raspberry sorbet finishes off the meal.
