The Best Coffee Shops In Causeway Bay

Project C

Newly-opened this summer, Project C is fast becoming an Insta-favourite courtesy of its iconic circular window. Nicknamed the submarine, its bold brutalist shopfront radiates aesthetic appeal, but that’s not all this newcomer has going for it. Caffeine enthusiasts will be pleased to learn that coffee is taken very seriously here, with each drink coming with a cheat sheet of tasting notes so you can see exactly where your brew has originated from. As for what to order, the filter coffee has earned rave reviews, along with the Oat Brew ($55) – a Project C exclusive which combines cold brew coffee with oat milk. There’s no seating here at the moment, making this more of a grab and go option. We recommend going at non-peak hours, at least until the hype dies down, or you may risk them running out of their most popular drinks.

Opening times: Daily, 8am to 6pm
Does it have wifi? No
Is it dog-friendly? No
Does it offer non-dairy milk? Yes

NOC Coffee Co.

Best known for its stunning, design-focused locations and menu of curated brews (made from house-roasted beans no less), NOC is a beloved staple of the Hong Kong coffee scene. And while the Causeway Bay outlet may not be as big or as quirky as some of the brand’s other branches, it’s definitely still worth a visit. Here, floor-to-ceiling windows give way to an achingly chic minimalist interior – the perfect backdrop for a Flat White ($35) and pastry pairing. We’re also partial to the non-caffeinated NOC Fizz ($55) – a refreshing blend of lemon, grapefruit and lemongrass juice, topped with tonic water.

Opening times: Daily, 8am to 6pm
Does it have wifi? Yes
Is it dog-friendly? Yes
Does it offer non-dairy milk? Yes (soy milk and Oatly are available for an additional $5)
Does it offer an eco-discount? Yes (bring your own cup to enjoy 10% off your takeaway coffee)

The Cold Brew ($60) is a must-try here, having been steeped for a full 24 hours to ensure maximum flavour. While the food options change monthly, you’d be remiss not to end your visit with a slice of the seasonal cheesecake ($50), which is as smooth and creamy as they come.
