Don’t waste your weekend watching the same old TV shows and slobbing out on the sofa – snap up a ticket now to the fantastic play, ‘Doubt’! Staged by Sweet and Sour Productions Ltd., this gripping play has won the Hong Kong English Language Drama Awards for Best Director and Best Show and is also a Pulitzer Prize winner, so you know it’s going to be good! Set in a Catholic Church and school in the Bronx, doubt washes over the school when the principal questions the relationship between Father Flynn and a pupil. This production will have you on the edge of your seat with plot twists and turns and compelling performances…

When: Wednesday, 3 June – Saturday, 6 June. Performances start at 8pm each night and there’s a matinee on Saturday, 6 June at 3pm.

White PartyAll white, all right
Diddy started a trend with his infamous White Party on USA’s Independence Day and HK followed suit. White Party Hong Kong’s 10th anniversary will be taking place at the end of the month, so put on your finest white threads and dancing shoes and groove to the sounds of Thomas GoldOmnia, Spencer Tarring and Richard Durand. This annual party is definitely one you won’t want to miss!

The Print MarketPrints galore…
Check out the first edition of the Print Market at ethos in Sai Ying Pun. There will be loads of print works by nine of Hong Kong’s artists, including illustrator Emilie Sarnel, graphic designer Toby Ng and painter Charles Munka. You’ll get to meet all of them this weekend and chat with them about their inspirations, as well as pick up a print or two to spruce up your pad. The works on display will also be available for purchase until Wednesday, 27 May.

“Hey, what up, it’s your girl Superwoman!”. That’s right, Lilly Singh is bringing her comedy act to the stage in the 852. She’ll be performing as part of her A Trip to Unicorn Island world tour. This super sassy gal is already a comedy legend at the age of 26, and she’ll surely keep you entertained with her hilarious variety show as she takes on her ever-popular characters live. See you there!

CIHK Shop for TreasureFor a good cause
The earthquakes that have rocked Nepal over the past couple of weeks have been truly devastating, and we’re keeping our eyes out for any events that support the victims. Canadians in Hong Kong has organised a charity drive Shop For Treasures which will do just that. Pop over and shop for gently used clothing, trinkets and more, with all the money raised going straight to Red Cross. Illustrator Kitty N. Wong (also our That Girl!) will be donating one of her hand embellished prints. Wine and snacks will be provided by HK Liquor Store.

When: Sunday, 17 May, 1-5pm
