Afternoon coffee up for grabs

Apologies to all you veggies out there, but sometimes you just can’t beat a big juicy burger – and luckily for us meat-lovers, four of Hong Kong’s top restos have been quietly preparing for the ultimate battle of the burger with the inaugural Ear Belly Bun Fights event! Lick your lips as Danny Chaney from Blue Butcher, Posto Pubblico’s Vinny Lauria, Restoration’s Jack Carson and Jonay Armas from The Pawn battle it out to cook up the best tasting burger in the ‘Kong (we’re ravenous already!) – plus a range of sides to help it all go down, of course. When it all gets too hot to handle, cool things down with some Lab Made ice-cream and Made In Paradise slushies, and don’t forget the fantastic DJ line-up too… so who’s up for a food fest?!

Another week, another pop-up store… but hey we aren’t complaining! One of our fave boutiques The9thMuse has teamed up with fashion blogger extraordinaire (and our first ever That Girl!) Christing Chang to launch her new clothing line,C. By Christing C. As one of the city’s best-known fashionistas (how does she make leather shorts look so good?!), Christing has flexed her style muscles and created one seriously fab first collection, incorporating everything from metallic leather to whimsical floral prints. We couldn’t be more excited to get our mitts on her gorgeous designs so come on ladies, you know you want (no, NEED) a new addition for that ever-growing wardrobe…

Summer soirees
The summer party season is hotting up for August – and we have a couple of cool events to live it up large this weekend! For all you beach babes, hit up Big Wave Bay for the Loudless Beach Party; think silent disco on one of Hong Kong’s most beautiful sandy shores and you’re there! If you fancy a more glam evening in your very own private cabana, then the Veuve Clicquot Yellow Summer Party at Vibes might be just the ticket; sport your chicest yellow summer outfits (think floaty dresses, jewelled sandals and panama hats), sit back in The Mira’s breezy alfresco lounge garden and dance away to tunes from some of the world’s best DJs. True party animals, we dare you to try and do both – just don’t blame Monday morning on us!
