Happy Valentine’s Day, Sassy ladies! That’s right, today is the day of romance… whether you’re all loved up or single and ready to mingle, we’ve got some fun events up our sleeves that will suit everyone! We’re sharing the love and giving you the lowdown of the best events on in town this weekend…

Get jazzy with it!
Are you tired of the same old nights out? Well, we’ve found the perfect solution! Get ready for a night of moving and grooving at the very cool Salon de Ning in The Peninsula Hong Kong, where jazz guitar supremo Eugene Pao will be performing every Wednesday! His unique interpretations of both jazz classics and his own signature, innovative riffs will make for a night of quality entertainment. With the sleek surroundings of Salon de Ning, the sweet sounds of Eugene and a complimentary cocktail, this is a recipe for fun! If you can’t get enough of the live music action, then don’t forget to check out talented musician and entertainer Danny Diaz either; he’ll be gracing the stage every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night with engagingly smooth Rat Pack-style sets that’ll make you feel like you’re back in the 1950s! Time to get your jazz shoes on…

One of Hong Kong’s favourite weeks is almost upon us… Restaurant Week is back! Promising even more great discounts and deals at some of the best restaurants in town, you’re sure to sneak in a great meal somewhere fantastic at a fraction of their usual prices! This year, we’re eyeing up the special menus at Fish & MeatThe BellbrookSt BettyAbove & Beyond and Duddell’s to name but a few – hurry though, as this super popular event gets booked up fast. So set those alarm clocks for 4pm on 17 February, as that’s when online reservations begin… fastest mouse first!

Jump! (For my love…)
Already sick of cheesy Valentine’s Day promotions? Well, take your mind off it, get active and do some good all at the same time with the Angels Zumbathon 2014! If you think you can dance away for four hours straight (all for a good cause too), then follow in our blogger Charlotte’s footsteps and sign up! If not, pop along anyway for however long you want; all proceeds going towards the amazing charity Angels For Orphans, who work closely with local charity Po Leung Kuk to provide support for children locally and overseas. We also hear there will be prizes for the most money raised, so get to it!

Love the way you ride
Ride your way into good health and happiness with TORQ’s special charity spinning sessions! Not only will you get a great workout on the bikes, but 80% of the proceeds will also go towards the Foodlink Foundation, which aims to mitigate hunger, fight poverty and foster nutritional wellness by reducing food wastage in hotels and restaurants in Hong Kong. In addition, TORQ will be offering fab discounts on the day, and one of our favourite veggie restos in town, Mana!, will be hosting a post-spin gathering for some yummy drinks and bites – complimentary goodie bags included! Food and fitness? Who can say no to that?!

If Zumba and spinning aren’t quite your thing, but you’re still up for doing some good (it’s the perfect weekend to show some love after all!), why not head out to Omberry’s Spread the Love pop-up shop? Wrapped up in love
Looking for a Valentine’s to remember? Then why not try out this amazing sushi-making class with your partner? Masu’s master chef Michael Chan will teach you how to wrap and roll to perfect the art of sushi… and what’s more, you’ll get some tasty bites as a reward for all your hard work at the end! From tuna and salmon to crab and seaweed, this is a fun chance to do something different with your loved one. Grab the wasabi, it’s going to get hot!
