Can you tell us about the inspiration behind the creation of Vivaz Fine Jewelry?

As a frequent visitor from Okinawa, Japan, I was captivated by the vibrant energy of Hong Kong, where I knew my passion could thrive. I began a new career in public relations in the Luxury Fine Diamond sector and quickly discovered that my clients often faced a lack of transparency when buying diamonds. This realisation was reinforced by my own experiences, where the information I received about jewellery purchases frequently didn’t match reality. These insights motivated me to pursue a GIA Diploma and ultimately led me to establish my own company to address these gaps in the industry.

One of the most defining characteristics of a diamond is its cut. A diamond’s cut is an integral factor in determining its brilliance and fire. Even a flawless diamond will appear dull and muted if the cut is poor.

While high grade colour, clarity and carat weight also contribute to a diamond’s appeal it’s the cut that determines the symmetry of the stone’s facets, its over all proportions, and its ability to reflect light.

How does Vivaz differentiate itself in the competitive luxury jewellery market, particularly in terms of craftsmanship and design?

My jewellery stands out from the rest because I specialise in classic fine diamond pieces that embrace both a feminine and bold aesthetic, catering to a diverse range of women. I believe that every woman deserves to express her individuality through jewellery, which is why I focus on designs that are timeless yet striking.

Additionally, I collaborate with elite multi-brand luxury Italian designers Giovanni Ferraris, Garavelli 1920, Verdi Gioielli and many more, offering a stunning array of unique pieces that showcase various styles and craftsmanship. When clients visit my collection, they are greeted with a wealth of options, allowing them to explore different designs rather than being limited to a single perspective. 

How does Vivaz achieve a personalised approach in customer service?

At Vivaz, we place a strong emphasis on educating our clients throughout the entire jewellery selection process. We take the time to explain what the GIA certificate entails and highlight other important factors to consider that may not be covered by the certificate. By providing this comprehensive knowledge, we empower our clients to make informed decisions and ensure they fully understand the value and quality of their investment with a hands-on approach using the diamond tools. 

Could you walk us through the process of creating a custom piece for a client, from initial consultation to final product?

Creating a custom piece for a client begins with an initial consultation, where we discuss their target price and present several options within that range, allowing them to feel comfortable with their budget. Next, we emphasis on the points which is not stated on the GIA certificate such as how important is the diamond’s cut, and providing a hands-on experience. Finally, we explore various design options and provide CAD designs, enabling clients to visualise their final piece before it’s crafted.

What do you hope clients take away from their experience with Vivaz, and how do you envision the brand evolving in the future?

Our goal is to ensure that our clients feel comfortable and at ease with their investment, leaving them confident and knowledgeable enough to discuss their purchase with anyone.
