What do you get when you put The Nail Library in luxury hotel, The Upper House? Why, a bespoke Christian Louboutin treatment, of course! Sound confusing? Well, one of our fave nail salons has teamed up with the iconic shoe brand to create an indulgent mani/pedi treatment, and it’s the only spot in Hong Kong where you can have this done! I popped over to The Upper House to try it out…

This in-room treatment is available to guests at the hotel from now until the end of October. The nail experts from The Nail Library will come over and treat you to a manicure or a pedicure featuring colours from the French luxury house’s nail polish range, which was launched last year. Just like the shoes, the nail polish bottles are iconic as the tops are shaped like an upside down pointy stiletto heel. I couldn’t help wondering if a bottle of the polish would be considered a weapon through airport security…

I walked in and got comfortable in the lounge area of the suite as Elyse took to removing the hideously chipped Sassy pink on my nails and expertly got to work on re-shaping my digits and removing my overgrown cuticles. What followed was a little soak in a bowl of water covered in rose petals as my therapist exfoliated my hands.

Somewhere in all this, while sipping on the Red Slipper, the special cocktail created just for this experience, another therapist got to work on a neck and shoulder massage – a nice touch as I’d been running between meetings and the office that morning.

Elyse took her time, painstakingly painting every nail in Rouge Louboutin, the same shade of the red soles. My nails were gorgeously glossy in that signature colour, which lasted for well over a week with no nicks and chips – great staying power for a mani!

I’ve had so many compliments on how neat, tidy and beautiful my nails were after this treatment. This is one luxurious mani that’s worth the stay at The Upper House!
