Over the years KOTUR has become synonymous with chic urban trendsetters around the world. The Hong Kong based company focuses on clutches, minaudieres and footwear and has a cult following in cities from New York to Hong Kong and everywhere in between. Founded by New Yorker Fiona Kotur who works from her headquarters in Sheung Wan, the cool clutch queen just opened the doors to her first KOTUR shop-in-shop at the newly launched SOGO in TST in Kowloon.
Who owns it?
Fiona Kotur, originally from New York and mother to four sons, established KOTUR in 2005; filling the accessories sector with โlittle bags with big personalitiesโ. Her mother is a noted interior designer and illustrator and her sister is the formerย Creative Director at Town & Country, so creativity definitely runs in the family. A Yale and Parsons School of Design graduate, Fiona juggles family life and business like a pro. She earned her stripes at Ralph Lauren and is one of the masterminds behind Tory Burch. She names all of her bags after icons and friends and even named the โBreenโ after one of Sassy Media Groupโs Founders, Claire Breen Melwani!
Whatโs in store?
The entire KOTUR collection is available in store so be prepared to stock up on everything from clutches and accessories to shoes and minaudieres.
Why we love it!
With pieces from Maison Jansen, Curtisย Jere and Mastercraft, the KOTUR dรฉcor in store transports visitors into a design dream world. Inspired by the KOTUR atelier and the 1950s, the store is eclectic and playful. The vintage brass palm tree lamp and illustrations by Fiona Koturโs mother, designer and artist Sheila Camera Kotur are going on our wish list with a number of clutches.
Whatโs on Sassyโs shopping list?
The Black Glitter Globe, Purple La Cage aux Folles (top left), and Gold Embossed Croc #GetSmartBag are top of our hit list for our clutch closet. Weโve already bought the Gold Gilda Shoes (top right), and are saving up for the Chocolate Guzel Shoes, rumour has it that Jessica Alba hasnโt taken hers off since she bought them!
Where is it?
The new store is located in SOGO the largest Japanese-style department store on Nathan Road in TST. You can also shop online here!
