Sassy’s Guide to Easter Events 2015

1 April, 2015

The super long weekend coming up is in honour of a chocoholic’s favourite holiday: Easter! Spend your lazy, languid days off work chowing down on a boozy brunch or some sweet treats. Have a read of our favourite Easter brunch options in the ‘Kong to see where you fancy dragging the girls along to. And from us to you, we’re wishing you a Happy Easter with lots of chocolatey delights!

BRUNCH BUNCH

Fatty CrabFatty Crab
All those days off over Easter mean a boozy brunch is in order. Check out Fatty Crab’s offering, which includes a variety of new egg dishes from Friday 3 April to Sunday, 5 April. Now that’s a real Easter egg hunt! The resto will also be mixing Spring Punch for you and the gals to share.

The Butchers Club
Head Southside to The Butchers Club Deli in Wong Chuk Hang on Easter Sunday for their tasty Sunday lunch. SouvlaSouvla
Our favourite Greek resto, Souvla, is offering up a traditional Greek Easter. Their soft braided bread (Tsoureki) returns from last year, as well as a game of Tsougrisma. It’s a game of luck where two players tap each other’s eggs to see which will crack first. It is said that the winner will have good luck for a year! Sounds like fun! Easter brunch at Souvla is $295.

Catalunya
Spanish resto Catalunya is putting on an Easter brunch to boot! There’ll be tapas and their regular main dishes, but what’s special are the desserts. Easter isn’t Easter without chocolate and you’ll love the selection at Catalunya! Easter brunch is available on Sunday, 5 April and Monday, 6 April for $680 + 10% per person.

It recently reopened with a bang, so if you haven’t gone to check out the new decor yet, then this is a great opportunity to do so. The Pawn is hosting a Rooftop Cookout on Easter Sunday from noon-3pm. Dine on salads, home-cured cold cuts, and BBQ favourites! Tickets are $598 for adults and available here. See you there!

BoqueriaBoqueria
Featuring Boqueria’s traditional brunch favourites as well as the chef’s Easter seafood spread, this looks like it’ll be an indulgent one! Brunch includes seafood tapas and a roaming seafood cart with crab claws, mussel salad and chilled lobster. It’s $288 per person with an extra $188 for free-flow juices, beer and sangria. There will be a semi-buffet where you can order eggs how you like ‘em, and a BBQ station to get your carnivorous fix. Head over on Sunday, 5 April from noon-3pm. The brunch is $988 for adults which includes free-flowing champagne and cocktails.
