Win tickets to Sweet and Sour Productions’ staging of Macbeth in Hong Kong!

1 April, 2015

Double, double, toil and trouble… fire burn and cauldron bubble! These words are well known to be the chant of the cackling wicked witches from William Shakespeare’s classic play, Macbeth. This chilling tragedy is one of Shakespeare’s most powerful works and that’s why we can’t wait to check out Sweet and Sour Productions’ staging of it in Hong Kong!

Set in Scotland, Macbeth (a Scottish general), encounters these three wicked witches who foretell his rise to the throne as King of Scotland. Overwhelmed by power and encouraged by his murderous wife, Macbeth kills the king. This haunting tale of murder, politics and the desire for power is sure to keep you enthralled, so it’s definitely not one to miss!

If you’re sick of hitting up Soho bars every weekend, it’s time to embrace your inner culture vulture and snap up tickets to this fantastic play. You’re sure to recognise the infamous quotes throughout it and the killer performances directed by Candice Moore (winner of Best Director and Best Production at the 2014 Hong Kong English Drama Awards) will have you on the edge of your seat! See you there…
