Sassy gets up close with the Barbados Rugby Sevens team at Timothy Oulton!

As you might be able to tell, we’re rather excited about HK’s biggest sporting and social event of the year… the Rugby Sevens! We’ve covered all the Sevens events here, we’ve given you a guide to surviving the Sevens (sassy style!), and we’ve even got a Sevens health guide to get you through the aftermath of this crazy weekend. That’s why we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to meet some of the actual players!

If you didn’t already know, our fantastic Managing Editor, Dervla, is Timothy Oulton’s latest ambassador, so we were lucky enough to catch up with the Barbados Rugby Sevens team at the Timothy Oulton St. Francis Street store in Wan Chai. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it!

This is the first time Barbados will be playing at the Rugby Sevens, so it’s an extremely exciting time for them! The team will be taking on Zimbabwe and Russia today and Chile tomorrow, so make sure you catch the games at the stadium – if you’ve managed to bag tickets! (See the full schedule and timings here)

So why is Timothy Oulton teaming up with the Barbados Sevens team? Interestingly, the distinguished British furniture brand actually has a store in Barbados, as founder Tim Oulton lives there for half the year! Timothy Oulton will be backing this daring young team all the way… everyone loves an underdog, and we reckon the Barbados team are on to a winning combination!

Amazing furniture, professional rugby players and a whole lot of sassiness… talk about a hard day at the office!
