Rue Madame has been a Sassy favourite for a while now – we’re always a fan of their range of French brands and designs that are all très chic and great quality. For Fall/Winter 2013, Rue Madame has not only brought in some great pieces from its existing brands like Sandro, Maje and American Vintage, they also have some new brands in the bag for us to explore too!
Claudie Pierlot is one of the new additions to the Rue Madame family, and they’re bringing a lot of cool workwear to the table! We are loving the subtle shades of navy contrasted against black in this bodycon dress, plus the shoulder detail that’s sexy yet feminine too. The lace sleeves on this top are also perfect for the autumn weather and you can’t go wrong with this pair of quilted booties – comfy and stylish.
Maje is all decked out in leather this season, and you can take your pick from neat skirts, full-on leather pants or a rocking biker jacket. Feeling feline? Try this eye-popping but super soft sweater for the winter. We love the pop of orange amongst the neutral shades, which will make all the difference to your average outfit.
Sandro is continuing with their cool but polished vibe for fall/winter. We spotted some highly covetable biker, leather jackets and chunky coats, but their navy tux with a masculine cut especially caught our eye – this would be oh-so-perfect with a pair of stilettos and a cute delicate top! The psychedelic print on this dress looked great paired with a structured jacket; we can totally see this outfit happening on a cold winter Friday night out.
Another new brand to note at Rue Madame is Berenice. Ready to hit the shores of Hong Kong, this brand is mixing a cool blue and grey palette with studs, leather and glitter for a glam-grunge look – proving that rocking and rolling can be done in soft silk and knitwear too! Our favourite item has to be their glittery waistcoat though – who can resist a bit of sparkle with party season coming up, right? Top image also from Berenice.
When it comes to clothes to pack for jet-setting, we always end up at American Vintage. They’re not ultra fancy, but how can sweaters ever be this soft?! Classic dresses in abstract prints paired with the deep and rich hues of their cardigans and blazers – ready for the most comfortable but chic day ever.
Want to see it all? Rue Madame has boutiques in both Central and Causeway Bay where all these brands are available (price-wise, we’re talking high street mid-end, with most items around the $1-2000 mark), whilst the likes of Sandro, Maje and American Vintage all have stand-alone stores along the same stretch in IFC as Rue Madame itself. It’s never been easier… or more tempting… to go for a little shop around Paris after work!
