If you’re looking for something out of the ordinary (and a bit cultural) to do this hot July weekend, you should definitely check out the Odissi Dance performance by the acclaimed Aruna Mohanty and her dance group.
You’re probably wondering what Odissi Dance is….well it’s one of the oldest forms of Indian Dance and it’s truly a part of Indian culture. This classical dance style has even made it’s way into pop culture. In fact two of the biggest names in music have featured Odissi Dance in their performances; Michael Jackson (see below) and Madonna!
You can catch the performance this Sunday the 4th or on Monday the 5th. The best part is admission is totally free !
