Newly opened this October, Market Place Discovery Bay is a shopper’s dream. Billing itself as a Food x Home store, the impressive 17,373 square foot space features the world’s first IKEA Close To You. Kill two birds with one stone and shop over 110 homeware and furniture items, in addition to Swedish gourmet signatures, ranging from salmon to cinnamon buns, meatballs and more. Interactive digital screens dotted around the store provide decorating and cooking inspiration aplenty. Did we mention there’s free shipping available? Alternatively, leave your goods at one of the self-pick-up lockers and take them home at a time that suits you. It couldn’t be easier!

In need of a gourmet pick-me-up? Look no further than Market Place’s full selection of Bread Pantry goodies. Brought to us by Bakehouse founder Grégoire Michaud, stock up on packaged sourdough loaves and stone-baked artisanal rolls, along with fresh-out-of-the-oven buttery croissants, available daily, and store exclusives like the Cinnamon Apple Turnover, Cheese Pretzel and Vanilla Raisin Danish.

And then there’s the groceries! We especially love the special focus on Western cuisine, healthy foods and pet products here – perfect for finding all of our international faves! Highlights include Market Place’s first-ever “Nuts Bar” with over 40 different nut varieties, not to mention the dedicated pet treat corner, both courtesy of Kiwi brand Alison’s Pantry.
