MEATS

Pirata Group’s newest restaurant, MEATS, will be opening next month. Touted as the “the no service-charge, no reservation meat bar where you can roll up your sleeves and dig into a tender, juicy and satisfying feast with friends,” it sounds like a carnivore’s delight. So keep checking back at Sassy for an updated review, coming soon! (See the Pop Ups section for a sneak peek through Thursday, 21 September)

Queen Sophie pastries

Queen Sophie

This pastry shop popped up in our Sheung Wan neighbourhood almost overnight, and the items on hand had us drooling. Some of the Sassy girls just had to try the egg tarts. The verdict? De-lish! The pastry is flaky and the egg custard perfectly set… #thatwobbletho. For just $10 a pop, these are good value as they are a bit bigger than traditional egg tarts and not too sweet. Perfect.
