While everyone is climbing on the train to pistachio town (us included!), we have clocked a flavour combo, which albeit classic, is making its big comeback in unexpected Hong Kong delights. We first loved mint-chocolate in ice-cream form, before progressing to classic After Eights (Arnott’s Mint Slice if you’re an Aussie) but it’s since taken on delicious new life on home soil! Mooncakes are getting more creative by the year, both in their increasingly elaborate packaging as well as innovative flavours that couldn’t be further from old-school lotus paste and egg yolk.
