Hong Kong’s ifc houses the latest Club Monaco, with stylish fashionable collections that are perfect for summer.
Summer is in full swing, and as a result you’ve probably already grabbed a few key pieces for the season. But with that hot humid weather bearing down you may need a few more to alternate between. I recently had a dig through the racks at Club Monaco and found a few (okay, loads!) great summer buys to keep you looking cool no matter where your travels take you. If you plan on jetting off from resort to resort, or prefer the staycation style by the pool, we have you set.
Neutrals are back (did they ever really leave?!) and are the best bet for when the temperature starts to skyrocket. These super comfy trousers leave you feeling like you are taking on the town in your pyjamas but look a lot more polished. Pair them with a thin suede tank to match colours but mix the textures. This sleeveless oversized blazer tops the look, adding a crisp white layer which is perfect for a lazy brunch or a jaunt around a new town to see the sights. Come autumn, toss this blazer over a long sleeve black fitted dress and belt the whole combo for a fresh fall transition. You can store anything and everything in this massive leather tote, which also doubles as the perfect carry-on.
When it’s time for some sun, this romper does the trick! It’s perfect over a bikini for an Asian beach adventure (see some of the best beaches in Asia here) or layered under a chunky knit for a New England lake trip… it can go just about anywhere! The scalloped hem and pleated front add subtle but sublime details. To complete the look, opt for complementary accessories like this black bucket bag and black and white straw fedora. I recently bought a similar hat and have been wearing it with anything and everything this season. It’s also great for covering a sweaty mop!
Any summer weddings on the horizon? Give yourself as the gift with this Club Monaco little blue dress that boasts a huge bow on the back! This is the perfect dress to pull out again and again for dancing the night away. I chose this one thanks to its forgiving shape, allowing for a few pieces of wedding cake (or glasses of champagne) but there were several other cocktail appropriate options on offer. Keep the accessories simple but modern with this gold-mirrored necklace, also available in store.
The newly revamped Club Monaco at ifc boasts their largest shoe department yet and has a vibe similar to their New York flagship. In this new shop, you can also find the most stunning fresh blooms from Rococo which are replenished daily. If that isn’t enough to make you go for a visit then the hearty array of Citizens for Humanity Jeans will do the trick. I scooped up the perfect pair of denim shorts while there (and I’ll probably go back to buy that white blazer). No matter what your summer plans include, Club Monaco can dress and accessorise you for the occasion. The only issue is figuring out how to get it all in that suitcase of yours!
