We had a whole lot of Mexican food delivered to the office… #noregrets
Mexican food is one of the most popular in the world. The mix of rich flavours, the guacamole, the corn based dishes and the personality from a good kick of chilli makes it a winner for most occasions. As an added value, you can treat yourself to a margarita (or two… or three… or four…) to wash down all the tacos, burritos and quesadillas… what else could you want from a delicious, fun meal?
One very lazy lunchtime we had Cali-Mex delivered to our office for a casual, comforting break. Having it delivered straight to our door was a great way to beat the queue in the office-packed, Sheung Wan area we work in! We started with nachos and dips, the classic start to a take-away Mexican meal, and they were the perfect way to whet our appetites. We loved the fact that the nachos weren’t too salty, which allowed us to really taste the different dips – tomato salsa, sour cream and guacamole.
On to the more filling part of our lunch! We were treated to an ample variety of quesadillas, catering to all our tastes. One of our favourites was the chicken quesadilla, which was fresh and flavourful. The quesadillas came with different spice levels; mild if you weren’t too adventurous, medium for a bit of heat and hot spicy for those with iron taste buds. And the vegetarian girls were delighted with the super-tasty spinach option too!
Sassy Girls love sweet treats, and we finished our Mexican feast with sinfully good churros, which were a definite hit. They come with two dipping sauces, the classic thick chocolate and caramel. The caramel sauce melted in the mouth and gave the churros an extra sweet twist – we couldn’t get enough!
Cali-Mex is uncomplicated, easy (and tasty) Mexican fare, perfect for a casual occasion like an office lunch. We loved that we didn’t have to queue for it and that it was delivered straight to our door, perfect for munching down on before getting back to a busy afternoon of emails!
