Red Bull continues to support Clockenflap, Hong Kong’s Biggest World Class Music and Arts Festival at the YourMum Stage.

We all know that Red Bull gives you wings, but did you know they’re also big promoters of music and art in the Hong Kong community? The Red Bull Music Academy, established in 1998, is a global music institution committed to fostering creativity in music. By supporting different music workshops, festivals, lectures and projects, it aims to celebrate the culture of music as well as the transformational artists. This year, Red Bull has teamed up with Hong Kong concert team YourMum to bring some sensational acts to the city’s favourite music festival, Clockenflap. We’ve got the details on all the acts you definitely need to catch this weekend at the Red Bull Stage!

CIFIKA

The combination of DIY production and a majestic, deep voice, CIFIKA composes music that evokes the feeling of being in another world. Her unique blend of ethereal sonics and deep beats has propelled her from South Korea’s underground scene to the Red Bull stage, and set hers her apart as one of the “new wave kids thriving outside of the K-Pop Machine”, according to VICE.

SHAME

Influenced by post-punk legends The Fall, London-based five-piece band SHAME inject a raw and visceral edge into their politically charged indie rock, all while putting a show filled with raucuous swagger. They’ve won rave reviews for both their debut album Songs of Praise and their searing live shows. You don’t want to miss this one.

In addition to these two, you can also expect an incredible showing from acts like BODEGA, the No.1 breakout act at this year’s SXSW festival, and Bohan Phoenix, a rapper who uniquely bridges the gap between the Chinese and United States’ hip hop scene. You also want to keep any out for Amadou & Mariam, the musical duo from Mali best known for their 2008 Grammy-nominated album Welcome to Mali, as well as Roni Sze, a pioneer of a game-changing sound that merges jungle with hip-hop, funk, soul and house.

These acts are sure to keep you on your toes, and when you need to recharge, there are plenty of shaded spots around the festival site to grab a drink, a bit to eat or just to hang out with friends. At the Food Bazaar, you can chow down on an extensive selection of delicious food from around the world, and of course, you can revive your senses with a signature Red Bull mixed drink.

Clockenflap is taking place at Central Harbourfront from Friday 9 November 2018 to Sunday 11 November 2018.
