With everything from Christmas staycations to special spa treatments on offer, we want to book it all!

The Mandarin Oriental is a firm favourite here in Hong Kong, with five-star facilities that never fail to disappoint. If (like us) you’re always looking for an excuse to plan your next visit, the hotel’s festive offers fit the bill perfectly! The Winter Getaway Package (from $4,200 per night) sounds like the stuff dreams are made of. We guarantee Mandarin Oriental’s decorations will transport you into a winter wonderland the minute you step into the lobby. You’ll be welcomed with mulled wine, mince pies and roasted chestnuts. And as an added bonus there will be a bottle of champagne and a gourmet whisky cake waiting in your room. It also includes breakfast for some further indulgence. What more could we ask for?

For those who just need a little time out from the hecticness of the holiday season, we guarantee one of its festive treatments will melt away your stress in a matter of minutes. The Mandarin Spa’s Sugar And Spice Body Treatment consists of a 30-minute cinnamon body scrub, followed by a 60-minute full body massage with vanilla oil (which sounds heavenly)! Or if you need to inject some life back into your skin after one too many late nights, opt for The Mandarin Salon’s Vitamin C Holiday Glow Treatment (to hydrate, plump and firm). You can choose from a facial, back treatment, or why not both? It is the season of giving after all! And just in case the gents are feeling left out, The Mandarin Barber has a cooling Peppermint Back Treatment on the menu.

Don’t forget if you’re out and about shopping and need to rest your feet for a bit, the Mandarin Oriental’s afternoon teas are legendary. And its holiday tea promises to put a festive spin on this classic tradition. You can choose to indulge at either Café Causette or Clipper Lounge, and no doubt the sugar rush from the cakes, cookies and sweet treats will put a spring back in your step in no time!

The best part about it is that by indulging in any of the Mandarin Oriental’s festive treats, you’ll also be helping others. That’s because part of the proceeds for the month of December will be donated to the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation (HKAHF). So get booking to spread some Christmas cheer. Happy Holidays!
