Popinjays, The Murray Hong Kong
See the New Year in in style at Popinjays. The Murray’s rooftop bar has been a favourite of ours ever since it opened, so we think it’s the perfect place to make sure 2019 gets off to a good start. You can choose to wine and dine there between 7pm to 10pm, with a six-course menu that includes caviar blinis, venison loin and mushroom ravioli and a spiced orange and chocolate cream (yum!). Or for those who just want to join for the countdown to 2019, you can pay $500 entry (which includes a glass of champagne). A DJ will be spinning tunes between 10pm and 2am so you’ll be able to dance and drink to your heart’s content. The stunning views of the Hong Kong skyline are an added bonus and will provide the perfect backdrop for you to take some envy-inducing photos. And don’t worry if you overindulge, you can always return the next day for a recovery brunch. We think the cheese fondue, grilled meats and pastas are a great way to nurse you back to health.
