Last Christmas, I gave you my heart… we can’t help it, it’s nearly Christmas and we’re in full-on festive mode at Sassy HQ! In our final Weekender of 2014, we’re going holiday-mad with everything going on over the next couple of weeks. Carnivals, parties, movie nights and more… it’s all here! And from all of us at Team Sassy, we’re wishing you a very sparkly Christmas and a wonderful start to 2015 – see you in January!

It’s never to late to plan for New Year’s Eve – after all, you’ve got to give 2014 a heck of a send off and ring in 2015 with a bang! There’s parties at Duddell’s, Ovolo Southside, Fish & Meat and more, and if you’re struggling to figure out what’s best for you and your besties, check out our guide to what’s going down on 31 December right here. You could be in with a chance to win tickets to one of the hottest parties in town too, as we’re giving away tickets to FIVE different dinners and parties! AIA carnivalThe carnival’s in town!
It’s back! The AIA Great European Carnival that we all love has returned to take over the space by the Central ferry pier. Some of you may have noticed the Observation Wheel is complete and is up and running as of a few weeks ago. From next week, you can swing by and entertain yourself on the many thrill rides, skill games, street entertainers and more.

Hed KandiWinter’s here
Kick off the party season tomorrow night at Zuma. Put on your most festive and fashionable dress, grab a mysterious mask and head over to one of the city’s premier venues for the Hed Kandi Winter Ball. Hed Kandi’s DJ Eibhlín Flynn and saxophonist Matt Hines will have you dancing into the wee hours as you groove along to the great music.

When: Saturday, 20 December, 10pm-4am
Where: Zuma, Level 6, The Landmark, 15 Queen’s Road Central, Hong Kong
How much: Advance tickets are $280 which includes 2 standard drinks, on the door tickets are $300 with 2 standard drinks, late-night entry (after 2am) is $200 which includes 1 standard drink. Tickets are available here.

 

Dada LoungeGirls on film
Looking for more cool Christmas events? Dada Lounge is hosting two chilled out movie nights. Catch a screening of Fly Me to the Moon on Christmas Eve or Belle and Sébastien on Christmas Day. Indulge in the Christmas buffet dinner, which will include slow-roasted turkey breast, toasted white chocolate mousse and gingerbread crème brûlée. Wondering what to do on Christmas Eve itself? It’s a Hong Kong tradition to don a reindeer headband or a Santa hat and join the festivities around Lan Kwai Fong the night before Christmas. This year will be the first-ever White Christmas at the new California Tower that’s done in conjunction with the Hong Kong Harbin Ice Festival… it’s definitely worth checking out! Or you could take a #selfie with real-life pop up Christmas card… don’t miss out on getting very merry!
