WEEKENDER: Kowloon Bazaar, Detox Weekend, dessert pop-up shops and more!

5 October, 2012

Ladies, the Mid-Autumn Festival long weekend may have come and gone for another year… but don’t despair, there are plenty of exciting things happening this weekend to chase those holiday blues away!

Gone bazaar!
Head to the 6th Annual Kowloon Bazaar for a one-stop shopping experience, showcasing loads of fantastic local and international stalls (including the likes of Pretty Dangerous, Planet Home, Itsie Bitsie and House of Fine Wines) selling clothing, gifts, homewares, jewellery and more all under one roof! There will also be lucky draws, wine tastings, free cocktail shots and tasty treats to keep you going through your marathon shopping sesh, plus part of the proceeds will be donated to the Rotary Club of the Kowloon Golden Mile too. Is it too early to start planning that Christmas shopping?!

When: 6 October, 11am-8pm
Where: Regal Kowloon Hotel, 71 Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong
How much: Free entry

Calling all sweet tooths!
This weekend is your last chance to visit Times of Sweetness, the truly scrumptious collection of sweet treat pop-up stores in Times Square. You might have a hard job picking between all the delectable desserts on offer, including Vero’s luxury chocolates, Petite Amanda’s perfect pastries, Jean-Paul Hevin’s lovely macarons, Cheeses’ specialty cheesecakes and much more… we’re drooling just thinking about them!

When: Until 7 October, 12-10pm
Where: Times Square, 2/F Atrium, 1 Matheson Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
How much: Free entry

The world’s longest running play The Mousetrap by ‘Queen of Crime’ Agatha Christie will hit Hong Kong next week for the very first time! Originally opening in London’s West End back in 1952, this famous murder mystery still keeps the audience hanging in suspense sixty years on… so get prepared for plenty of twists, turns and red herrings, and be sure not to blab whodunit after leaving the theatre!

When: 9-13 October, 8pm; 13 October, 4pm; 14 October, 2.30pm & 7.30pm
Where: Lyric Theatre, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, 1 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
