WEEKENDER: Halloween high jinks, Sunset Sessions at Ozone, Spa-rty at Sense of Touch and more

So you’re probably reading this while adding that last drop of fake blood to your arm in preparation for Halloween shenanigans tonight! And we’ve got to admit that we’re pretty excited too! Apart from the devilish debauchery of Halloween, this weekend’s packed with fun activities, including Southside’s languidly long lunch, a spa-rty at Sense of Touch and the last of Oktoberfest. TGIF!

A scary good time!
Halloween on a Friday night? That can only mean one thing – party, party, and party! Whether you’ve got your costume in a bag under your desk or are feeling a bit last minute to the game (check out our last minute Halloween costume ideas here!), there’s something for everyone. From the Rocky Horror Extravaganza at KEE Club to the Hedkandi Halloween Party at Zuma and everything in between, you’re bound to have a spooktacular time. Don’t go bacon my heart…
The only market on Southside returns this weekend! The Southside Market Long Lunch will have delicious food from The Butchers Club including dry-aged beef burgers, sausages, roast lamb and moules frites… yum! Grab the gang and make a day of it – especially while the weather is so pleasant! If you can’t bear the thought of leaving at the end of the day, you can also pick up some meat, wine, beer, pastries and more to get you through the week. Forks at the ready…

When: 2 November, 12-5pm
Where: The Butchers Club Deli at Editus, 16-17/F, Shui Ki Industrial building, 18 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Aberdeen, Hong Kong
How much: Tickets are $550 per adult, $250 for kids aged between 8 and 17, and free for those under 8. Tickets include unlimited trips to the cooked food stands and complimentary beverages! Get your tickets here!

Giddyup!
It’s the last day of October, but that doesn’t mean Oktoberfest is coming to an end just yet! The races on a Wednesday night are a must-see and a must-do in Honkers, and this one is bound to be no ordinary weeknight out. There will be 11 different types of beer as well as delish German food like sausages and sauerkraut. Think you can pour a perfect pint? Check out the draught pouring challenge, or the speed-drinking contest (drink responsibly, girls!) if you’d rather be in front of the bar instead of behind it.

When: 12 November, 7-11pm
Where: Happy Valley Racecourse, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
How much: $10 to enter and you can use your Octopus card! If you get there for the last few races, it’s free entry.

After dark
In probably the last pool party of the season, Ozone at The Ritz-Carlton are giving us a one-two punch! For awesome harbour views and a balmy breeze, check out their Sunset Sessions by the pool, and if you can’t make that, join them for their After Dark Party. Tickets include a glass of Veuve Clicquot bubbly. Ah… nothing beats a good sunset, banging tunes and a glass of champers!

When: 8 November, Sunset Sessions is from 4-7pm, After Dark Party is from 7-11pm

How much: Advance tickets and tickets on the door before 7pm are $250 and it’s $300 on the door after 7pm

Party sparty!
One of our favourite spas, Sense of Touch, is opening in Sai Ying Pun! And to celebrate, they’re hosting a big bash. Join them at their launch party, where you’ll get a night of pampering (hello free hand massage!), drinks and canapés. You might even be lucky enough to win some vouchers or treatments in their lucky draw. Enjoy!
