Feel good about yourself at our evenings of fitness, food and fun at Locofama, celebrate Bastille Day with the Frenchies at Botelleon and get crafty with floral workshops at Ellermann. Fitness, Food & Fun!
It’s back! Our Sassy evening of Fitness, Food and Fun is here for round two, and this time, Genie Concepts and Claudia Whitney Yoga are gathering at Locofama (check out our review here) just for you! You’ll learn how to make delicious, healthy juices, stretch it out with a mini yoga sesh and of course, try tasty, organic dishes from Locofama. Since it was so popular last time, we’ve got two dates for you this month, Tuesday, 15 July and Wednesday, 16 July. There are only 20 spaces available for each evening, so get your tickets now! If you can’t make either of these, don’t worry – we have some more dates coming in August and September. You’re bound to be able to make one of them!

A Yoga-Night-Out
Yogis, you know this one is for you! Brought to you by Stretch City, Stretch Saturday 2014 is their first yoga day out and is the perfect place to relax, stretch it out and get to know Hong Kong’s Yoga community. With various activities and events going on in the day (full schedule here), there are tons of ways to get involved. We’re looking forward to the Yoga Night Out, which will have an exclusive screening of “Yoga is: A Transformational Journey”, the soulful sounds of Kirtan and singing bowls to soothe you as well as some nutritious nibbles and wine to top it off too! What a great way to unwind from our hectic Hong Kong lifestyles. Make sure you RSVP in advance for Stretch Saturday and head to Hollywood Road next weekend… you might end up making some new friends too!

Can you hear the people sing?
The Frenchies of HK will be preparing for this weekend’s Bastille Day, and although we might not be in France, we can still celebrate! Le Botellon HK – Bastille Day Celebration will be held this Saturday in the Lan Kwai Fong Amphitheatre for everyone to enjoy. This cool event brings a relaxed European vibe every time, and keeps on getting better and better. Bring your own bottle of wine (and maybe some cheese and a baguette too!) and head over to LKF for some live music and Bastille Day celebrations! You might even meet an eligible French monsieur too…

Midsummer Night’s Flower
A bouquet of flowers always brings a smile to any girls face. There’s nothing like a fresh, colourful bunch of them to put you in a good mood! So what better way to spend your weekend than at flower boutique and event design atelier, Ellermann? They make stunning arrangements of flowers and this summer they’re ready to tell you how they do it. With cool workshops available such as their Flower Crown Workshop (check out our review here!), this is something fun and different to try with your girlfriends. The workshops will be run by Sarah Wilkinson, the owner of Australian event and wedding florist Sinikka, and are inspired by summer nights. You’ll be using beautiful, mystical flowers and materials such as peonies, garden roses, sea folly and feathers to create some magical arrangements (take a look at the Midsummer Night’s Collection here).
