Top 7 Swimwear Lines for Summer

3 June, 2015

The temperature is rising and that means it’s time to cool off in the water and hit the beach or pool! If your one-piece is looking a bit faded after years of frolicking in the sea or lounging poolside, it’s time for an update. Why not refresh your swimwear for 2015 with a bikini from one of these new brands or collections? Oh, and don’t forget to browse our super comprehensive guide to swimwear stores in Hong Kong if you still can’t find ‘the one’. Happy swimming, Sassy girls!

This Australian label has recently launched in the 852 and we’ve quickly fallen in love with their pieces. Inspired by the founders’ photography and travel, they stock a variety of styles from bikinis, one-pieces and kaftans (perfect for Sassy Girls who prefer a bit more coverage when you’re sprawled out on a deck chair…). This Marrakech print twist bandeau bikini top would look so summery and bright with a pair of white denim shorts.

Made in ParadiseMade in Paradise
This Hong Kong-based brand recently launched in the 852 with an awesome party at Mavericks that went ahead despite the red rainstorm warning! Founded by two childhood buddies, Made in Paradise is inspired by 90s hip-hop, graffiti, skateboarding and urban clothing. Check out their fun tees and board shorts for guys and gals. These Roonz shorts have us craving a sweet treet or two from Ladurée… and are ideal for slipping on over your bikini bottoms when you hit the beach!

So you’re heading for a junk trip with your latest beau and he rocks up to the Central Pier wearing the most threadbare trunks you’ve seen in your entire life… it’s time to pick him up something from Māzŭ Swimwear. The boyish charm of the Junk High Tide trunks will have him wearing them around the flat as well as on the beach – save yourself from witnessing you man in speedos.

These brightly-coloured one-and-two pieces are for those Sassy Girls who prefer the clean and simple look. The White Moonstone bikini has mesh detailing on the neckline and on the side panels, which looks super sporty and sexy at the same time. It’s definitely a bikini that you can swim, run and exercise in!

Shine bright like neon… that’s what we think browsing through the Triangl online lookbook. We’ve seen their styles on Sassy sister Demi Lovato among others and love how structured they look. The Poppy bikini in Flamingo Fling (what cute names for the styles and colours, too!) is one of our favourites.

vamastyle sabina swims new swimwear collectionsSabina Swims & Vamastyle
Ok, these aren’t new brands, but these oldies are definitely goodies! Sabina Swims is a great staple for swimwear lovers in Hong Kong, and the new spring/summer 2015 collection features a range of geometric and bold prints, as well as their classics in solid colours. So useful if you’ve misplaced a top or a bottom and need something plain-coloured to match. Vamastyle – well, what can we say… we’re huge fans of this swimwear brand here at Sassy HQ! We’ve swooned over their amazing ‘Kabron’ Kimono in our May What Sassy Wants here, and now we’re eyeing up the matching blue ‘Innika’ one piece to go with it! Snap up some stylish swimwear and resort wear at their online store if you want to be the most sophisticated person on the beach.
