Miriam Salat at Lane Crawford

16 May, 2011

Last week in New York I made sure to hit up Henri Bendel’s jewellery department, which is an absolute mecca for all kinds of cool baubles and shiny things! Personally I think it has one of the best selections in the world, with a great mix of high end and affordable so that you can buy a little bit of glamour at any price point. One of the stand-out brands for me was Miriam Salat, especially as some of her pieces remind me of the Chanel cuffs that I’ve always been a bit in love with. As I decided not to indulge at Bendel’s, I was happy on arriving back in Hong Kong to learn that I’ve still got the opportunity to splash out a little if I want to, as Miriam Salat is now available right here at Lane Crawford. Apparently “The Miriam Salat Woman”, is “the new gypset (gypsey + jetsetter). Adventurous and free spirited, she is a bon vivant who travels off the beaten path. She is drawn to the richness of life and its many hues”. A perfect embodiment would seem to be Jennifer Lopez, who rocked some of Miriam Salat’s stacked bangles on the set of American Idol. As I love the stacked look, but couldn’t pull off such dark colours, I’ve got my eye on the nude basic bangle which is made from resin and which retails for HK1,600 at Lane Crawford.

Miriam Salat is available in Hong Kong at the following Lane Crawford stores: Canton Road, ifc Mall, Pacific Place, Times Square. Prices range from HK1,600 up to around HK7,500 for the Ivory Scallop Cuff pictured at the top of the page.
