Mini-Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella

British author, Sophie Kinsella, just released the 6th book in her popular Shopaholic Series;  Mini- Shopaholic.

I’m actually quite excited about this book as I really did enjoy reading all the other books in the Shopaholic series.  I guess you could say I find Sophie Kinsella’s books to be my secret guilty pleasure.  I don’t often read chick-lit books, but I am still a fan of Kinsella and thrilled she has a new book out.

In the first of the series, Confessions of a Shopaholic,the main character Becky Bloomwood is introduced and we learn all about her uncontrollable shopping addiction. Throughout the rest of the series Becky moves from London to New York, takes on a job as a house cleaner, meets a long lost sister,  gets married, and even goes through pregnancy.  In the latest addition to the series Becky has a new shopping accomplice, her two year old daughter Minnie! The book is all about Becky trying to balance life with her daughter, husband, work (as a personal shopper)  and of course her insane shopping addiction all while living at home with her parents during the financial crisis. On top of all the drama in her life, Becky is trying to pull of the ultimate surprise birthday party for her husband Luke (on a budget of course).

If you’re looking for a fun and quick read, then I definitely suggest the Shopaholic series. For those of you who are already fans, I hope you enjoy the newly released Mini- Shopaholic!
