We scour the streets of Hong Kong on a daily basis to bring you the best of what we feel this city has to offer, but now we want to hear what you think! For the first time in four years, and in honour of Sassy Media Group’s tenth anniversary year, we are launching the Sassy Best Of Hong Kong Reader Awards. It’s an opportunity for you to tell us about all your go-to businesses and brands, in return for the chance to win a two-night stay at an eight-bedroom villa with two pools in Koh Samui courtesy of The Luxe Nomad* (worth USD $4,600).

“Inasia” is a stunning beachfront villa on the shores of Lipa Noi, perfect for a weekend retreat from Hong Kong. There’s plenty of entertainment on offer, with satellite TV, a DVD player, indoor and outdoor sound system, board games, a pool table and a Nintendo Wii at your disposal. Did we mention that there’s also an in-villa chef? Expect to be munching on some mean banana fritters, as well as a delicious selection of Thai, Western and Chinese dishes. And if you manage to drag yourself off your sun lounger, there’s also volleyball, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards on hand.

So now that we’ve got your attention, here’s how it works. Make sure cast your vote below on everything from your favourite bar, free-flow brunch and restaurant, to your top yoga studio and regular spa. The awards will 100% be voted for by you, our readers, and is our way of giving back to the places that make Hong Kong such a great place to live. And for the first time ever, we’re also going to be recognising individual people, so don’t forget to shout out about your favourite entrepreneurs and changemakers. Don’t feel like you have to answer every single question, you can simply skip any that don’t apply to you.

Of course, we’ll be throwing a big bash to celebrate all the winners at a top secret party venue in June. Everyone who casts a vote will automatically be entered into a draw to win a pair of tickets to attend, giving you the chance to rub shoulders with Hong Kong’s movers and shakers.

Every winner will be added to Sassy’s Hong Kong Directory as a featured listing for one calendar year, and will be invited to the celebratory party in June.

*Terms and conditions:

1. Only one set of votes per person or email address will be counted. Multiple votes made by the same person will not be counted.
2. Sassy Media Group’s decision on the winners of each category in the Best of Hong Kong Reader Awards will be final.
3. All entrants must be aged 18 or over and reside in Hong Kong. It will be Sassy’s sole decision as to whether any eligibility requirement has or has not been met and we may require evidence or confirmation from entrants before awarding prizes. Winner(s) will be picked based on answers submitted.
4. The first prize entitles one winner to a complimentary 2 night stay at Inasia. Should the guest want to extend their stay, preferential rates are available at 15% off (the discount cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other promotion that is ongoing).
5. This prize is redeemable any time from the day the winner is chosen until a year after the winner has been chosen. This is only valid during low and high season and subject to black out dates and availability (Black out dates: 15 Dec 2019 – 10 Jan 2020; 23 Jan – 1 Feb 2020; 28 Mar to 25 April 2020)
6. Breakfast and airport transfers (1 x roundtrip) are included. Guest is to pay separately for any other rentals or services.
7. The maximum capacity of Inasia is 16 people.
8. Prize value: USD $4,600.
9. All prizes must be claimed within 5 business days of our notification of winning unless otherwise stated. If a prize is not claimed within this period we reserve the right to select an alternative prize winner or not award the prize at all.
