Hazlitt’s, London

4 May, 2010

Located in a stretch of three converted Georgian houses just off Soho Square, guests are drawn to Hazlitt’s thanks to its stellar location, but keep coming back because of the hotel’s warm and friendly staff. Uneven stairs, antique furniture, fireplaces, heavy silk curtains and books galore – yes, sounds rather Dickensian, but doesn’t convey how charming the hotel is! Within easy walking distance of theatreland, Oxford Street and Covent Garden, Hazlitt’s really is right in the middle of all the action.

Right across the street is one Michelin-starred restaurant Arbutus…perfect for discerning foodies. Complimentary Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs and REN goodies in the bathroom round off the experience – think of Hazlitt’s as less of a hotel, and more of a home away from home.

While you’re in London, don’t forget to check out the revamped women’s contemporary space at Selfridges (400 Oxford Street) or the boutique store Coco Ribbon (21 Kensington Park Road, W11) – a lovely shop that stocks boudoir-inspired apparel and girly trinkets. The Shop at Bluebird (350 Kings Road, SW3) sells an awesome variety of pretty much everything that’s cool for both men, women and the home – we love it!

Club double rooms from GBP 220 (approximately HKD 2,600) per night.
